LUCID DREAMS?

I have been having some vivid dreams lately. Most of the time I forget them right away but this one stuck with me.

I'm in what seems to be a fancy mall. I lost my wife and am looking for her. I am calm at first but then I realise I have no cell phone to call her and no idea where I am or she is. At some point I realise I am dreaming but I can't wake myself up. It seemed like hours I knew I was in a dream state but could not get out of it. Finally a lady almost and angelic looking being handed me a leaf and calmly explained to get back home I need to go up the stair to the flowing river and jump in holding this leaf. Something about her told me she was an angel and I did exactly that. I walked up a few flights of stairs to a lazy river flowing down the hallway. I jumped in and though the water was only a few feet deep I sunk 100's of feet. I could still breath which was good but this fall took another 5-10 minutes. When I got the the bottom I woke up in a hot sweat and a little freaked out. Any thoughts?

I am calm at first but then I realise I have no cell phone to call her and no idea where I am or she is.   -  Some would tell you that this is an unconsious realization that your relationship with your wife is drifting apart.  Further, the fact that you lost her in a high end mall may in some way point to a fear of losing her to a more successful man.  I'm not saying this is the case because I don't know you at all but you need to ask yourself if you feel thretened in anyway by a more successful guy.  Most scoff when they hear this type of blunt feedback but it takes a person who is truly introspective to grapple with such difficult questions.

I jumped in and though the water was only a few feet deep I sunk 100's of feet.  - Falling is most usually associated with losing a grip on something.  Given that your wife and kids were part of this dream most analysis would point to them as the source.  Many experience that type of dream when they are having trouble at work and worried about being fired.  Running into a wind that you can't overcome is also very common.     I could still breath which was good but this fall took another 5-10 minutes. When I got the the bottom I woke up in a hot sweat and a little freaked out. Any thoughts?      -  Dreams can be rough, in a lot of ways they can closely resemble panic attacks.

I sincerely wish you good luck with this.  Dreams really are only what you make of them.  If you are troubled they can be a great way to work out problems in your life and look for solutions. There are a lot of resources online that can be helpful if you know what you are looking for.

Don't send the cops over I'm fine, lol. I don't dream much on drugs or drinking, this one was sober. I worry about our house a lot. We owe 400,000 on a 125,000 dollar home. We make it every month ok, but it would be nice to not have that -275,000 equity hang over me for sure. My bank is Aliance (GMAC) and they are fucking cock suckers. Won't work with us at all because I play poker for a living and can't prove income. I have a nice roll of cash and our bills are modest besides the house. But I stil am a long long way away from being even in terms of net worth. If I could just get the house thing worked out life would be much better.

Have a couple dreams I get often.

1) I am swimming in a huge lake with my friends and family having a blast. Then out of no where the lake semi freezes and I find myself on a thin ice sheey drifting after from shore 200-300 yards. It's night and everyone is gone. I hesitate and hesitate cause it's cold and night, really scary, really vivid. I never swim to shore I always wake up.

You're having dreams about isolation and artificial barriers to freedom/resolution.  I suspect the negative equity is key here so great job for identifying it.  Unless you come up with a shit load of cash you probably aren't going to overcome that.  Instead you have to find ways to overcome the anxiety associated with it and transform it into something no more challenging then having a common cold.
