first of all......my god,she looks hiiideeeoooussss!!!..goddamn,shes fallen off the edge of a cliff the past decade or so...is that gap between her front teeth getting bigger??
the act is a cry for attention, people in those sort of positions crave it and get addicted to it after being in the limelight their whole adult lives and wen theyre not relevant any more on a public scale it smashes their world apart and diminishes their self-worth....doing anything to cling on and sumhow stay in the public eye is a typical response...just like every second retired sports star running strait to the commentary booth..its not only for a paycheck, its also to maintain the ego boost it provides.
reminds me of a magazine article i read way back when, interviewing shaq after around 3 or 4 years in the league.in retrospect it is kind of hilarious....in it he claimed that his talents were so great and so diverse that he wud retire at 29 or 30 to pursue other things as he wud have accomplished all he wanted to in basketball...so here we are a thousand years later after watching him hang on in the league year after year after year past his prime, and now hes on tnt commenting of course and on all kinds of ad's promoting shiiit.....now obviously that dude dont need the money.and watever he does "need" to earn he can likely do it out of the spotlight.
but they cant live without it....cant let it go.
anyhow, after that huuuuuge digression,it doesnt surprise in the slightest that madonna is atrociously bad doing stand-up...in past interviews and such that i seen she always seemed very cold and humour-less and, despite others calling her very cunning and bizness-savvy,she doesnt seem too bright to me...just my opinion.
i remember letterman totally owned her a cupple times wen she was being a bi.tchh on his show

@melos - can't disagree with any of that. I also remember Shaq saying that as well. The ironic thing is, shaq IS somewhat funny and that's why he is on TNT and NBA TV so much.
This was him at his best:
