The fact that there are 3 possible outcomes (W,L,D) makes it an automatic losing proposition. Also, with such low scoring, there are so many draws it's ridiculous.
Also remember in college football, the Hawaii and Tulane games were fixed as well. What do you expect though. It's still bound to happen because it's pretty hard to prove unless someone snitches you out.
