I was using frostwire for downloads and its not workin anymore....anyone know any others?

Yuice- Tried adding you and PMing you re: which firefox addon you use to do this.  Is it pretty simple to put into iTunes?

i am running firefox 3.6.17 so the add ons might be different if you have a different version but here is what you do. 

go to add ons and the little search box should pop up. click on browse all add ons and a new web page should pop up. 

in the search type in youtube 

you want the one that says download youtube videos as mp4 or flv. the icon is a red circle with an arrow pointing down. 

add that on and then go to any song you want on youtube and underneath the video you will see a download option. 

click that and then mp4 and you are good to go. 

drag them into itunes or do whatever you want with them

ignore this post. i have this one as well because it saves them as the actual videos which i assume you don't want. when you search the add ons click the one that saves youtube mp3. it is the little green puzzle piece. when you find a song you want you will see the download mp3 button above the video. a new page will pop up with a convert button and then you are good to go. sorry about that

Is this add on in the new firefox 4?

i don't use 4 so i couldn't tell you. i would just search and see what pops up. there are a lot of these add ons you can use that all do the same thing.

 I'm not a computer guy but for me the easiest way is to go to flvto.com.

Then open another window and go to youtube, copy and paste the URL of the video that you want into the box on flvto, hit the next button and 20 seconds later a high quality mp3 version of the song is in your itunes library.

 It could not be any easier.

Do you use the add-on from firefox or the MConverter on that site? When I downloaded the song it opened in my media player but wouldn't transfer to Itunes

 I didn't download either of those. I had my itunes library opened while I was downloading from Youtube and the songs were added to my library automatically. I did format them by clicking on the song and then going to the file tab in itunes and clicking on "Get info" and then clicking on the "Info" tab to manually enter title,artist,album,and genre.

Yes.

 I feel funny giving advice to anyone regarding computer issues because I feel that I'm not that sharp when it comes to stuff like this either. That is the great thing about that website you don't have to be a rocket surgeon to go from Youtube to iPod.
