There is NO gambling problem... NONE... that can't be solved with a good, long winning streak.
At 24 years old you have NOT met the love of your life yet.
There are only two rules of gambling...
1) Protect your bankroll at all times.
2) Refer to rule number one.
And finally... You are NEVER a Loser until you give up.
BE SMART.
BE STRONG.
BE A WINNER.
Take your head outta ur azz and start thinking smart.

Do you have a long-term career? If not, you must stop gambling and plan for the future.
There are a lot of would-be doctors and magnates of industry in here. I'm not even kidding, they became action junkies to a fault. You can be an extremely high-functioning individual and still be an action junkie. I was one of them. You must get the career first and the gambling comes second. This is the best advice you'll get on this site. I've learned this lesson the hard way. Don't hit rock bottom. A lot of guys can't handle hitting rock bottom and are no longer with us.

Gambling is like crack, the high lasts for a short time then you need another game, doesn't matter if its Dipwad State you gotta have action--and the lows are worse than the highs are good--treat it like the serious addiction that it is, you already know its messed up so thats a start

*My closest friend had the same thing happen to him, lost alot of money, a GF, a brand new BMW etc. He finally realized he need to do something and get his life back together he told me he got over and uit gambling by picking up new hobbies, but it isnt that easy for everyone.
*GL I hope the best for you and as far as your mother I hope she gets well, look at her she is more important than gambling

I am almost 3 times your age and have seen it all. Years ago, I knew a CEO that had a serious gambling problem. He was very cheap too.
Once he invited me to go to see the Washington Bullets play basketball. Somehow he had free tickets . He placed 2 grand on the game, which was a lot of money back then.
As we were going through the entrance gate, I noticed that he was sneaking in a bag of something. I whispered.. psst, what's in the bag ? He replied: two bottles of Pepsi ! I said, why cola ? He said, I'm not paying 2.50 cents when I can get them for .50 cents..
I thought, wow, you are really sick.. Needless to say,, when went on to lose everything he had in life. Mucho money, house, car, CEO job, a wife, family..
His problem was that he was selfish. One word describes him selfish. He is still alive , in his 80s and lives in a little 16 foot camper in the boon docks.
So if I can help you at all, my suggestion is this..
To think of others before it's too late.
Imagine the good you could have done with that money.
If you love others, your Mother, you girl, it will come back to you ten fold.

Agree with one of the other posters. Some people, like myself, have no self control. I turned a $300 deposit into 15 grand in about 2 weeks. Then I was betting 3 grand a game and calling the manager to raise it up so I could bet more.
I passed on a winner because the max was $1,000 and I wanted to play something higher.
Once the stakes keep getting raised some people can't control themselves. The best thing to do is stop cold turkey.
I could've sworn SteelCash stole my line from another thread I posted in.
If you want to get anywhere in life you're going to need to stop. I'm almost 30 years old now and have absolutely nothing to show for it. I've gambled away every penny I've made for the past 10 years and working off paying credit card debt.
It's unfortunate too. I've become so de-sensitized by losing and winning big that nothing really gets me too excited or angry anymore. Hopefully it's not too late for you.

You just need to stop. I stopped sports betting for about two months now, and im pretty much stress free. Get a new hobby and get your mind off gambling. You won't get the money that you lost back, so just start over and spend more time with your mother.
