I am almost 3 times your age and have seen it all. Years ago, I knew a CEO that had a serious gambling problem. He was very cheap too.
Once he invited me to go to see the Washington Bullets play basketball. Somehow he had free tickets . He placed 2 grand on the game, which was a lot of money back then.
As we were going through the entrance gate, I noticed that he was sneaking in a bag of something. I whispered.. psst, what's in the bag ? He replied: two bottles of Pepsi ! I said, why cola ? He said, I'm not paying 2.50 cents when I can get them for .50 cents..
I thought, wow, you are really sick.. Needless to say,, when went on to lose everything he had in life. Mucho money, house, car, CEO job, a wife, family..
His problem was that he was selfish. One word describes him selfish. He is still alive , in his 80s and lives in a little 16 foot camper in the boon docks.
So if I can help you at all, my suggestion is this..
To think of others before it's too late.
Imagine the good you could have done with that money.
If you love others, your Mother, you girl, it will come back to you ten fold.

Agree with one of the other posters. Some people, like myself, have no self control. I turned a $300 deposit into 15 grand in about 2 weeks. Then I was betting 3 grand a game and calling the manager to raise it up so I could bet more.
I passed on a winner because the max was $1,000 and I wanted to play something higher.
Once the stakes keep getting raised some people can't control themselves. The best thing to do is stop cold turkey.
I could've sworn SteelCash stole my line from another thread I posted in.
If you want to get anywhere in life you're going to need to stop. I'm almost 30 years old now and have absolutely nothing to show for it. I've gambled away every penny I've made for the past 10 years and working off paying credit card debt.
It's unfortunate too. I've become so de-sensitized by losing and winning big that nothing really gets me too excited or angry anymore. Hopefully it's not too late for you.
