Looks like state will move quickly to make regs and open the betting by June 15. My only worry is that they screw up and try to limit online betting. NJ currently allows casino gambling games online and all they would need to do is add sportsbetting to those sites. I for one will not bet as much on sports if I have to travel to AC or a racetrack. Also, if it's online I would be able to bet on soccer from around the world, no way AC casinos will be taking action on European socer matches. Hopefully this will all work out and the online arm of these casino companies( ie MGM Borgata, Betfair etc) will push for a strong online betting platforms !

Another thing that has to happen is that on Weekends all games played must be put on live TV in all these venues. When your in Vegas sportsbooks all the games are on live. Will the racetracks in NJ show every college football game on Saturdays and all the Pro football games on Sunday? The Meadowlands racetrack closes when the Jets and Giants are playing home that would have to end but the clubs will fight that because of parking issues. Lots of issues will need to be worked out but getting legal sports betting is good for all.

Yes, good for everyone, except perhaps those who have some family who will be induced to bet sports because it will be so easy to do so with their phone or tablet linked to a credit card or bank account and bets more than he should without realizing it. But it's all about the "greater good", the jobs that will be created and maybe Atlantic City will be revitalized. I live in NJ, people will gamble anyway, let's at least make it easier to separate the common people from their money, after all, they will gamble their money away anyway, this of course is how all the money will be made, I am feverishly trying to figure out how I can capitalize on this.......
