It's amazing goose,.Americans are somewhat versed on our national debt but most have no idea where the big money is actually being spent. This is a prime example of what is wrong with Govt corruption and debt. Canada bought a squadron of these flying turkeys as a result of U.S Dept Of War pressure. I think it's important that Americans and Canadians stay up with where exactly these massive expenditures are going. John Mcain called the entire F-35 project a "Scandal."  He's spot on.

The citizenry is more interested in Kim Kardashian.... I know it's not big big money but hey were a state sponsor of terrorism as well...

#1 Boston Marathon bombers - brought here and given Federal $ to live and eventually blow-up the Boston Marathon...

#2 $400M in cash to Iran in January. Why on earth would we give them a nickel is beyond me unless we're state sponsors of terrorism. $150B for the Iran Nuke deal. We've owed Iran a bombing since 1980 but they continue to get cash & love. Its beyond my pay grade to understand why on earth Iran hasn't been terminated with extreme prejudice by now by the U.S. or Israel...

So they dropped some cash on an airplane. Ho-hum, the moron doesn't care. He only cares about convicted heroin dealers dying in police custody... The Secretary of State took it upon herself to have classified information on her own server - not a problem in 2016.

Gentlemen may I present to you a fighter, bomber close air support airplane that we cannot develop. She is a monster. Designed for air superiority at all levels. Yes the F-18 and 18  can play but the F-35 is almost obsolete in today's close support.

F-35 capabilities are not released, I know the figures declared to the public and press pretty much an albatross with jet engines. But we can not give our enemies the capabilities of this air craft. So john q american citizen gets the same press release as Dimitri in Russia. 

They been yammering on about the Clinton email now an asset in Iran was hung by neck to death.

Our freedom of speech and specialmacttion programs. Can not be aligned.

I'm registered as an independent voter ( in Massachusetts they call it "unenrolled" ). Although not certified by the Covers self-anointed, "documented non-partisan, independents", whatever that is, I find it hard to identify a more vile political hypocrite than John McCain. He's a fraud who has been wrong on every major issue in his career .Citing him for anything runs the risk of losing all credibility.

The top 3 private employers in this country are Wal Mart, Yum Brands(fast food conglomerate), and McDonalds. I'd rather the US government (who employs more people than those 3 waste cases combined) spend money on high tech military companies like Northrop-Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing who provide wages way above and beyond the service sector 3.

Invest with pennies and you'll make pennies. Invest with dollars and you'll make dollars.

Little more research than that - both product and economics there Getter.
Tell me one thing about this airplane that justifies the cost. Do not say "advanced weapon system" unless you know what you're talking about.

Iran's money held under sanctions due to 1979 hostage crisis and nuclear program was returned to them
not in US dollars but Swiss francs, euros and other foreign currencies. Cash money was given to Iran because Congress banned dollars transfer to Iran. the Obama administration had to buy foreign currency and transfer it to Iran.

why 400 millions ?
$400 million payment for military equipment was made by the government of the Shah of Iran, prior to the 1979 uprising that topped him.

the new Iran revolutionary government wanted the 400 millions dollars back.

12 billions dollars in Iranian assets (oil .. ) were held by the U.S government after the U.S. severed diplomatic relations with Tehran due to 1979 hostage crisis.
