I had two tickets on my windshield one day, issued within 1/2 hour of each other, one under each wiper blade. That isn't supposed to happen, the computer won't allow it. One ticket had a zero in my tag number instead of the letter O. I paid the correct ticket, then wrote a letter about the incorrect ticket. Would you like to guess what happened?
They corrected the bogus ticket, and added a penalty for paying it late.

^So how does issuing a ticket help prevent the house from burning down????????????
If it's such a possible hazard, the they should tow the car away.

And what is almost as immoral is failing to put a quarter or two into a meter, or exceeding the 2-hr limit by 15 minutes, and ending up with a $40 ticket. This is more excessive than an usury practiced by organized crime or the banks.
Plus, there is no contract between a driver and the city on how much a penalty is for the above violations. The driver doesn't even know what it is until he gets the news in the mail. Now THAT'S immoral.
