As much of what is going on in the daily fantasy is going on is bad news because Nevada and New York are being greedy. I just wanted to bring to the attention to the people in charge of this how dumb their argument is. If they consider this gambling, then the government must shut down all Chuck E Cheese Franchises. This is worst than slot machines and keno and it's for kids. You play to win tickets to get a worthless prize. Money is involved with higher the cost of item the more money you gamble to get more tickets. Give me a break greedy people in the government. You'll let it go, when you get a bigger cut, just like Marijuana.

This is a follow up because I see the people who are so behind calling everyone stupid who supports daily fantasy. Sports being popular is behind so much more than gambling. Sports create an economy, small businesses can thrive in, based on sports events. Look at Cleveland with Lebron and without him. That's one player and not just a whole team affecting a entire city. Daily fantasy makes more people interested in sports which makes more people go to businesses to support their players or teams which helps our economy. What's the point of the government wanting a bigger cut in one area and screwing up their cut in others. It's kind of the new thing like a dog chasing his tale. Going in a circle without progress. Yes, sports is that important and anything that supports it's popularity is that important. Life is a gamble. Does everyone who wakes up to do a dangerous job not gamble with their lives to get a salary. If it's so bad then it would be illegal to gamble period. Now when you make something illegal for the wrong reasons it creates a black market. Of course the government can't take not getting a cut. The biggest black market out there is China. They can't do anything about that so let's look at the next billion dollar industry to screw with. That's why the focus is on DFS. Too much money involved so they want more control.Just want to know when they are gonna get control of something that's not a personal decision for us and actually handle the real issues.

NY is not being greedy. It is one of the few states that look out for its citizens. FanDuel needs to prove to NY that they are an honest business and not bookmakers. NY is one of the few states that bans fracking.

You must be paid by the word to shill. Daily Fantasy sports is a pimple compared to the smallest financial transaction on Wall St. It takes more than $100,000,000 to move the needle there when they own half the world along with London.

four-ten ter r or ist league on that dy and f un n el mo n ey into one acc.
You have to submit ID and Social security number to take any money out and they have records and info on all account transactions and deposits (which can't happen without a verified paypal acct. or credit card)

why ban online gaming, if gamblers understand that point margins between 0 and 100 dollars are in tenth of point maybe a half which sport you play and the top teir is the best second best and third best possible in a given night and expect any gaming to be one hundred percent up and up they are kidding themselves.
however if this a form of entertainment they loose more going to a bar paying for a drink and wagering in action plays.
if its a form of entertainment how can you use a law that bans paramutual horse racing the power ball and mega millions in interstate commerce gambling and only apply this to poker or sports players percentages.
if the law must be invoked than it should be used across the board not picking on certain forms of gaming to rule upon while allowing others to go on sheldon understands that he can lobby congress, than a law should becoming from the feds, and allow states to choose whether instate gaming online is allowed.
or just have the decadency to stop being mom to the citizens and allow citizens to choose if they wish to participate or not. It is no different from prohibition. outlawing yeast sugar and water was impossible so allowing it to ferment unachievable but the feds did this to give the haves more and make most avg joes unalaw biding citizen.
educate, fine responsible gaming fine but just saying you cant means they will. tobacco use in america is down it wasnt achieved by banning tobacco products marijuana use is up well in most states its illegal, j

power ball win is 1 in 30 billion (69*68*67*66*65)*25 yet the web site states all combinations at 212 million it is fraudulent as well but I don't see the feds making a crack down there.

DFS is about picking the right core of guys... even if u pick 7 guys who score a TD... u still wont win the big bucks. cuz another guy got 6 dudes that scored 2 TD each. =/
all those weeks u had tyrod taylor and donvata freeman... $$$$$

I will not disagree with you on that point... but it is part of a much larger argument that would require a change in laws to execute properly.
Daily fantasy is gambling, pure and simple. It is not legal in those states as the laws read currently.
If you want selective enforcement of the law, you are inviting corruption beyond comprehension
this same law if applied fairly would outlaw interstate slot machines, paramutual horse racing and even powerball the feds are choosing to apply it to sports and poker, while allowing it for other gambling industries.

That is not correct. Horses and dogs are paramutual wagering. Big difference, but still a ripoff with a 17$ vig more. The vig at daily fantasy is estimated to be 50% some say more. Impossible to win with that. Lotto is a complete farce that preys on the lowest income brackets... I have my powerball tix tho.

I bought a ticket as well haven't bought one in years but I bought one today. to me its a form of entertainment. I day dream what if... trust I understand the odds but it allows me to think of things if money was no object. so I view this as entertainment.
I am a serious gambler and will be dealing with 1099 from horse racing and poker as well as my other work to make the bills but this is saying a chance . I played the fantasy draft kings last spring made a couple hundred over a month but didn't believe it was legit.derby wars was fun but it just didn't seem right as I saw I was payed so little vs if I had actually wagered the six races on 4 buck a race bets and hit the pick fours . thank god for American pharoh I did make a few dollars from him but the forms will come for that endeavor.
but this was a choice I made. the government believes in freedom and choice than allow individuals to make them. reality this entertainment does very little to implode the American dream it realistically doesn't get anyone hurt and nobody has to leave their house but the feds need to commit rescorces to look into it?
or was it max at wsop wearing draft kings logo sparked the doj to investigate?
