I like Mandalay. I keep it simple, pass, back it up and get 6 and 8 or 9 if 6 or 8 is the point.

My strategy is to A)Be Patient and B)Observe the game/players.

I know, neither is what you want to hear! But listen: Seasoned players will tell you there's that "one guy" or "people" on the table, who, when they come up to shoot--they'll CALL OFF bets, drastically lower their bets, or simply take a break. Just the same, there are times when another shooter is hot, and (nearly) everyone is willing to pass their turn to get him/her back up. So just watching this "trend" is a good idea.

As far as the bets themselves, I generally start with odds and maybe a secondary bet like Field/Hard Way...something to keep the interest, but not risk everything right after the point. I may buy a number or two, but (for me) I like to have about half of what it costs to "buy the board" or "Go across", before doing so. For example, at a $10MIN table, it would cost either $52 or $54 to buy 4/5/6/8/9/10 excluding the point. You may miss out on a few bets while you try to build up X-amount...but you could also buy it all up front and have the shooter crap out in a handfull of rolls.

Basically, the shooter would need to roll successfully at least 6 or 7 times to get the cost of those bets back plus your pass line (and odds). And that's taking into consideration he/she doesn't roll 2/3/11/12 in between; unless you're covering every number to stay in the action. As previously mentioned, you can do a combination of PRESSING and COLLECTING, but always know what you have on the table! Because just as good as it may feel to know you're alive to any number but 7...it's just a painful to hear them call "7-OUT" and see how many of your chips they wipe off the board.

FWIW, I've been playing for over 10 years, and played at multiple casinos in multiple states.

I see it all the time. A shitty shooter at the table and that asshat will not pass the dice and the lemmings lose their shirts on him.&#xD;&#xA;ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS take at least 1x&#x27;s odds too and it doesn&#x27;t matter the number. The house edge drops huge just by taking 1x&#x27;s

Speaking of "Best places to play in Vegas" I noticed that Casino Royale no longer offers 100x odds, WTH!

I remember 10 years ago there was a full table and everybody had a $3 pass bet with $300 behind it.

I usually play what ever numbers are next to the point.For example if the point is a 10 , I play the 9 etc. Yeah, I know some of you are raising your eyebrows ,but it works for me.

I was there in March and they had one 50x table and one 100x table.. It never mattered to me as I hardly ever take more than 5x

&#xD;&#xA;To each their own.. Read a book the difference between 1x odds and 10x odds is minor... To play full odds you&#x27;d need a bank roll of over 2g&#x27;s to be on a table.. The swings are too drastic in the game.

&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Yeah, right.  It is better to take max odds, but like others have said on here, somewhat unrealistic when 100x is offered.  Be reasonable. Remember, money management enters into the equation, too. &#xD;&#xA;Take 5x-10x odds, you&#x27;re still fine.

There are so many different bets to make in Craps, which makes it a great game.

I typically have a Place Bet or Come Bet on the 6 and 8, and a Pass Line Bet on a third number. Most any book will tell you never to Place a Bet, but the 'take' is minimal on the 6 and 8, and any Hot Table will most likely hit those bets numerous times.

I press my bets based on the feel of the table. Minimizing one's losses is just as important as Maximizing gains on a hot table. You want to "survive" so you can get to that hot shooter !!!
