Correct me if I'm wrong, but most people come here to share their picks or find info that will help them win, such as someone to tail. So the person who posts an accurate record for a guy who swears he's winning but is really losing better serves the purpose of the forum than the cheater, yes?
There was a recent post from a guy, something like, "I can't bet this guaranteed winner you're saying absolutely will not lose because I lost most of my bankroll on the last two plays you guaranteed tonight." He wasn't angry, the post wasn't an attack, he was merely stating a sad fact. Some will say, "He got what he deserves" but that's selfish, it could have been avoided if he knew the truth about the poster's record and his "guarantees."
I saw someone banned. The guy referred to above - names aren't necessary (hadenfizzle) - told posters he was up about $1,500 on the week, when he was actually down over $8,000. It's not uncommon that attention-seekers cheat on their records, but a difference that substantial is ridiculous and posters looking to tail someone should be able to read the truth so they can make an informed decision. The guy who got banned made it a personal attack so I'm guessing that's why he was banned, not for giving the real record. I've posted his record and not been banned (maybe because I stuck to fact and numbers, not a personal attack, and because I contribute to the FCS forum?) but if it's not allowed, tell me and I'll stop posting, no biggie.
What is covers policy, what are your feelings on these things?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Cheers...
