The leaders of Puerto Rico have turned the beautiful island into a broke sh/thole, due to a massive bureaucracy, and strict regulations.
Thus, if it even goes where it is supposed to, the aid will only be a temporary fix, for the wonderful people of Puerto Rico.

nature: The chronic problem with relief efforts of any stature is they are rampant with fraud. Unfortunately with many of these organizations it starts at the TOP. Corporate structuring allows these thieves to set themselves up with corporate titles complete with guaranteed salary compensation and many other benefits such as world travel, exquisite accommodations, and gourmet dining. This is why most times only PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR of contributions actually make it to the needy. It's PATHETIC and there should be a special place in HE!! for these scumbags.
I very strongly urge anybody with a kind heart that really wants to donate do so AT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY LEVEL. That way you KNOW the majority of your monetary contributions actually hit the target. WORLDLY and NATIONAL organizations should be avoided at all costs.

Another hero who has been WAY OUT AHEAD OF THE CURVE on this Puerto Rico tragedy was former New York Yankee Jorge Posada and his wife Laura. They have been working since the first Hurricane Irma.
