Revel casino in AC

Question

Spent a few hours at the newly opened Revel Casino in Atlantic City. As a long time Borgata player I can honestly tell you I may never go back after seeing Revel. The casino is spectacular. Its the closest you will get to a Vegas casino in AC. Fun place, great decor, cool and hip, lots of BJ tables and lots of sexuality. Gone are the drab dealers in old uniforms, its mostly a younger group of dealers, mostly attractive, personality to boot. They are obviously not seasoned dealers and make plenty of mistakes. There is one pit where they have electronic BJ at a regular table with gorgeous female dealers in sexy borgata babes dresses, behind them is a platform stage where they have gorgeous go go dancers. At the edge of the casino is Burlesque, its the exterior of the actual club that is behind closed doors, what they have is a bar with stage where sexy burlesque dancers perform, and up above is a catwalk with more dancers as well. And right underneath are a dozen BJ tables. The place is an absolute blast.

You "can&#x27;t wait" to lose your money?   That&#x27;s not a shot at you.  It&#x27;s a shot at casino gambling.  You&#x27;re lucky if you walk out of those places with the shirt on your back.

No I didnt win but unlike most people I set a limit on my losses. I never lose more than $300 but have won much more than that an many occasions. Ive read a dozen BJ books and consider myself an expert on basic strategy. Its almost a 50-50 game. Ive won a lot more than Ive lost over the years due to good bankroll management.

To be honest with you I didnt see a racing room and didnt even think to look. I was too mesmerized by the casino itself. So long Borgata!!!

SweetLou...Id like to hear your take on the rooms...as well as any nightlife?What was the crowd age? Was it similar to Borgata?Im a long time Borgata goer...Harrahs as well and was curious about Revel.

DonnieBaseball, it was purely a daytrip for me as Im only 30 miles from AC. Only got to see the casino, pool and outside area. The place has only been open for two days and being that I was there 11am to 5pm I dont think its fair to say what type of crowd it attracts. Obviously there were a lot of curious people just checking the place out. The Burlesque club with gambling tables? Nothing like that at Borgata or Harrahs. The style of the casino blows away anything in AC.

i&#x27;m going to assume they have higher limits?what is their asian card room like?is it on the boards or on the marina?i can&#x27;t wait either, going to take my sisters there around memorial day, youngest just turned 21 and i didn&#x27;t get one of the other ones a bday present yet, so i&#x27;ll buy um a nice suite for a weeknight

Didnt look for the asian room since i dont play those games.

The hotel in on the boardwalk. As for limits everyone assumes they will be higher since they are looking for higher rollers instead of the daytrippers. When I was there on Tuesday every BJ table was $10 in the main room, I would say at least 30-40 tables. You would assume the minimums will be jacked up on weekends but if they all have $25 and higher they will price themselves out of the market. Even the Borgata is smart enough to have a lot of $15 tables on a Saturday night.

The BJ tables with the catwalk are 6/5 correct? great to watch but not play..

No racebook or bartop (comped drinks) Video Poker from what I've heard.That will help keep out riff-raff like myself,also smoke-free..Couches to relax in..give that a few months when they get tired of booting out the real riff-raff walking over from the Showboat.

Best thing about the Marina district is you need a CAR to get to.

Heading up in a few weeks myself,staying at the B and Harrahs rest of the time..Love the racebook at the B and late night gaming at Harrahs.But will go over to the Revel and check it out.

Just saying Revel is the best place to hang out in AC in my opinions, closest thing to Vegas casino. There is another pit just a few feet away from Burlesque pit and you can watch it all from a close distance. Payout was 3 to 2.
