Kudos to him for finishing like he did. Luckily no concussion (or at least nothing mentioned about it yet).

All I thought of when I saw his nose shifted was the big dude from The Longest Yard saying "He brokeded my nose"

Never lacked respect for Cena. I just never cared for his character. But I gained even more respect after last night. He's world class on so many levels.

Speaking of broken noses, I never could find an answer to this question.

Back in the day, did Big Show agree to have his nose broken by Mayweather or did Floyd go out of his way to break it on his own. I would think The Giant wouldn't agree to such a thing but a bare fisted punch could break Floyd's hand so there is a possibility the Giant agreed.

He definitely broke his nose with that punch. That's all I know.

Always wondered...

Great match between Cena and Rollins.  Minor injuries such as bleeding forehead are planned since livelihood of wrestlers depend on being healthy enough to work  However some injuries are unexpected accidents such as Owen Hart's death.

I think most people respect Cena. The "John Cena Suuuuuucks" chants for his entrance and "Lets Go Cena/Cena Sucks" have become part of his character. He embraces it. But the fans will still chant "This is awesome" when he puts on matches like he has with Owens. Personally, I still don't want to see him as the top guy with the WWE Championship because we've seen that so often and it's gotten tired. But what he's doing now by putting on epic matches with the younger guys, it's nice to see.

As far as your Big Show/Floyd question...he talked about it on the Jericho podcast and you're right to think "the Giant wouldn't agree to such a thing" because even he said it would be hard to believe he'd do something so stupid...

Big Show noted that he'd been doing boxing training for a year prior to the match with Mayweather, and knew that Mayweather would be capable of breaking his nose with accuracy. Big Show then said that he specifically asked Mayweather to do it in order to help set off the angle.

"I was used to getting punched in the face, if that makes any sense. I went to him and said 'look, I'm so much bigger than you, you're going to need to break my nose,' and he looks and me and goes 'what?' and I said if he didn't break my nose that we're dead in the water. We had to get people talking, because who's dumb enough to let a boxer break their nose?" Show said.

We'll agree to disagree with regard to the chants.

Remember when Ceasaro said "You can't wrestle!" and the crowd laughed like Jerry Seinfed was doing a stand up routine? 

Remember when they threw his shirt back not once but twice (unprecedented in wwe history) in a match vs. Punk?

They did the same thing to Angle with regard to the Chants, but remember, he was a heel (and his entrance music promoted such chants). Amazingly, CENA has always been a full blown face and they say he suc*s, constantly.

Hopefully this incident will turn the tide for him in terms of respect among the older crowd.

Well I just gained a ton of respect for the Giant. I think he's insane but damn, that is taking one for the team. Thanks for the info.

Eh...I don't know. People throw the word "sucks" around like it's nothing. How many times have you heard someone say LeBron James sucks? Does he really suck? Of course not. It's just what people say when they aren't liked. And that's what it's like with Cena's character. If he ever went heel then the fans would swap. Kids would hate him and the older crowd will love him. He's just a demographic based character (even he admitted that he wouldn't watch WWE if he wasn't apart of it).
