Saw them many times. best concert was Monsters Of Rock at Donnington Castle in 1984 in England along with Ozzy, ac dc motley crue among the Headliners. they were selling 2 litre bottles of Lager for $2 american and the band was fantastic. the 1 thing that sucked was the audience were throwing those 2 litre plastic bottles at the band and eddie and DLR got so pissed that they stopped the show momenterily until the barrage stopped.. Quoting DLR... The nx dude i see throwing a bottle at us we're going to stop the show again and im going to come down and fuck your girfriend!

While some of there videos may not have aged as well, "Right Now" still comes off incredibly on point and so well done.

Simmons says events unfolded in 1982 when Kiss parted ways with guitarist Frehley. Van Halen appeared in the band's studio, where they were working on new material, and played the main theme from future hit single Jump on a synth.

Simmons spoke about it on Nikki Sixx's radio show, "So I take him to lunch across the street and he actually tells me: 'I want to join Kiss. I can't take Roth ? he's driving me nuts. We're not getting along. I've got this sound in my head that I want Van Halen to do, and Roth doesn't want to do it, and we're just getting to a point where he's believing his own hype.'," Gene said. "I remember feeling proud of what I said. I said: 'Don't do it. Stay with the band you started. There's no role for you ? you're too big. You cast too much of a shadow to be the guitar player in Kiss.'

Lived in California at the time of VH' debut...on my own as a teen and trying to make a living and partying with like minded friends...Bad day after Skynryd crash...those years...Wow when they came on the radio on KSFM Woodland...drinking cheap ass beer and smoking weed in an apartment with a state-of the art receiver and speakers.

Listened to the first album today on You Tube and want to freaking cry..the comments are something else..
