Shooting yesterday Lewiston Maine.

Police says the shooting happened around 2:40 p.m. at the Place St. Marie Housing Development on Oxford Street.

Up here usually very peaceful a string of shootings in every city that exists here over the last month.

Portland Maine

Police said the officers also found a 22-year-old Portland woman at the nearby intersection of Fore and Union Streets who had also been shot in the same incident. Both victims were taken to Maine Medical Center. Police described their injuries as “serious.”

Other countries have already proven what works in reducing gun violence.  But US has a greater gun problem because we allow it.  History shows that people can become de-sensitized or brainwashed to accept atrocities as normal.  For example, the holocaust during world war II.

So if a madman for no better word bezerker shows up with guns we suppose to wait as they did in the gun free zone in uvalde Texas?

 What works in reducing gun violence is actually prosecuting and charging career criminals. Also securing the border with Mexico where most of the illegals/guns are coming from. Legal gun owners aren't the problem. Switzerland has the second highest gun ownership per capita next to the USA and they have almost zero gun crime. 

Human beings will use anything as a weapon. Canada just had 15 or so people killed with knives. If the first victim had a right to possess a firearm they could have saved their own life and 14 other lives

So if every citizen carries a weapon, the problem would be solved?

Key difference is that Switzerland has strong gun control while the US has weak gun laws.  According to Gifford law center, states with weak gun laws tend to have higher rates of gun crimes.  Easier to buy guns in the US than from Mexico.  Mexico government is trying to sue US gun manufacturers for supplying millions of guns.  Apparently, US isn't soft on crime because it has among the largest incarcerated populations.

I encourage every gun control advocate to post "This home is a gun-free zone" signs on their front doors.
