Generally, teasers are indeed a waste of money, yes. Hence the word, "teaser."
I say teasers are for lazy cappers, as you'll commonly find that one of the teams/plays didn't need the extra points. Multiple teamers are ridiculously ignorant, but there are some rare occasions where a two team teaser can prove beneficial if you can cover a key number like 7 or 10. However, played with any regularity, teasers are a silly novelty with odds overwhelmingly in favor of the book. The bottomline is you need too many things to happen to see any sort of return.
Keep your plays simple and your units consistent.
Indeed, for the last 8 years I have posted teasers here and showed a profit. Although they are slightly tanking right now. They will be ahead in the end.
I love people that say how they are sucker bets. And it's mostly rookies and noobs that say it. It just keeps them under the radar.
Something very important about teasers.
It's not the team you tease, it's the line you tease. There are reams and reams of data on it. But of course most just repeat what they see on message boards. Because they sure don't know the math or logic behind it.
