We have been struggling with wildfires in much of Oregon with my neck of the woods being the hardest hit. Our first responders, especially or firemen, have been doing one hell of a job. We really needed rain to at moisture to some of the dry fuel and help clear out the smoke. Tonight we are getting a deluge!! It's only suppose to last into tomorrow but we will take what we can get.

Stu...please let me know how I can help the firefighters, their families, their pets or anyone in need. I much rather help individuals than making a random donation to Red Cross etc.
People need to help people.

Fuck the Red Cross and all those huge relief organizations. Their donations trickle down to pennies on the dollar by the time it actually gets to the people in need. Donating at THE LOWEST LOCAL LEVEL is the way to roll.

Stu-Not sure how big your family is but maybe you and them or a few friends can organize a food or clothing drive for the community? Most television and radio stations will promote these if you get in contact with them with plenty of advance notice. In times like these clothing, food and toiletries are what's needed most.
