Nothing in the article states the store policy. I'll repeat a line from someone else on this forum who has it right.
"The media is not designed to inform you, but to shock you."
The recently deceased Roger Ailes had this to say to then presidential candidate Richard Nixon in 1968:
“Today television news is watched more often than people read newspapers, than people listen to the radio, than people read or gather any other form of communication. The reason: People are lazy. With television you just sit – watch – listen. The thinking is done for you.”

{He asked a clerk to show him new iPhones, and when the clerk refused to bring out the new phones and instead directed him to the tethered display phones, the suspect, who is black, accused the employee of being racist, police said.}
I'm pretty sure that would be the store's policy - regardless of race/color/creed.....
And it's not "one person out of 7.5 billion" acting this way. It's becoming the norm now that "racist" Trump is in command and the "pu$$ifying" of Americans in general. You know, in the not too distant past, (seems like pre-Internet and camera phones) you used to be able to expect a certain amount of respect and decorum both given and received by and to the public in general regardless of race/color/creed/etc. Not anymore, it's game on, and everyone's an entitled celebrity. **WORLDSTAR!!!!** I'm sure there's hundreds of examples posted on YouTube like these examples:
Starbucks screwed up my coffee order - clerk is racist
Store clerk wouldn't accept my expired coupons - racist
Waiter at the restaurant asked me if I could please keep my out of control toddler from screaming and running around - racist
And because of this, white people seem to be going above and beyond now to show they're not racist, and this is the result.....

I love when people pull that s hit. It's hilarious to me. Only when it's clearly not racist in any way. I asked a chick to leave the fitting rooms at a store I worked at one time, not because she was black but because the fitting rooms were closed and she tried to book it past me with a whole basket of s hit most of which was not clothing. Also for some stupid as s reason it was store policy not to allow the baskets in the fitting rooms. So what do I do when someone tries to pull the race card on me? I tell them to put it back in the f ucking deck!

While I agree, I think that's the problem. Any time someone has tried to rant about being "judged" by me, I give it right back. I may be white but I've got tattoos everywhere including my entire hands and piercings in my face so I'm judged just as much. You're judged from the day you're born till the day you die. Grow the f uck up and deal with it. And just for the record, there's such a thing as white slavery too only these days it's referred to as "human trafficking."

Yes, there is still racism in the world (and racial prejudice in stores) but that doesn't mean that every disagreement in a store involving a person of color is racially based. Yes, most times the racial prejudice people of color experience in stores is unwarranted but that doesn't mean that only "1 out of every 7.5 billion (almost the entire population of the world), black of white, is up to no good. Sometimes a spade is a spade. Sometimes people, black or white, are up to shady sh#t.
Scal, please stop taking it upon yourself to be a champion of black people. We don't f#cking need it! Besides, you often do more harm than good because your points are misinformed and convoluted. I know you feel like you have to "set the bigots of covers straight" but you don't. If someone wants to be a bigot that's their prerogative and you're definitely not the one to change their minds. This whole "White Shadow" "Mr. Drummond" routine you like to play is really f#cking annoying.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

Yes, one person out of 7.5 Billion acting like this is a 'world we created'.
Everyone head to your bomb shelters.
Stolen or not, why wouldn't the clerk let him hold the phone?
Are you now asking all blacks not be allowed to hold cell phones in this terrible world we created?
For some reason that line made me laugh.
If nothing else scal is entertaining.
My two cents are that the other 99% of the Black Community should be pizzed off, very pizzed off. Ultimately it comes back around and hurts the good 99%. Also, there is still an astounding number of ignorant people in this world on ALL sides. As somebody who grew up in the 60's and early 70's and actually witnessed the race riots, the water hoses, and everything else, I cannot believe that half a century later we still have racism running rampant.

Hey there "Cheryl"!
First off, welcome to the GD forum, and I see this is now the second long dead thread of mine that you've brought back to life. I know that's not an easy task, so that took a little bit of time & effort on your part. But anyways, let's start with what we know so far:
You're from California (like me)
A nice naughty "Potty-Mouth" (referenced from my other thread)
"Laid Back" and "Chill" (again, other thread)
Aggressive tatts & piercings - - I like that!
But most of all, agrees with me, and is somewhat intrigued/inspired by my intelligence and point of view.....
I'm picturing a Kat Von 'D' lookalike that likes to bite my lower lip and can't keep her hands off me. If you tell me you've got perky 'C' or 'D' boobs and you love to cook while listening to classic rock, I'm going to go kill myself.....
Dammit! My head screams "This is a dude, you idiot" but my heart & "manhood" are putting up a pretty decent fight. Stupid brain!
Awaiting you're response.....
