Absurd That Almost Every Country, Except The United States, Can Gamble At Their Own Convenience & Freedom.

Yes I know this is old news to all of us but how pathetic is it that we see sports odds daily in virtually every major city-newspaper across the nation, ESPN has daily picks on the spread on their website, and other countries are free to do as they wish with their own money, such as gamble online and on bet on sports freely in their areas, but United States citizens cannot.

No wonder a record number of U.S. citizens have renounced their citizenship the last couple of years.

I do think the govt. will wake up & smell the coffee (the benefits & profits) some day soon when it comes allowing the U.S. people to have TRUE freedom in spending their money as they wish, such as betting online and on sports abroad...

Its a bizarre world we live in. Full of imbalances and inequality. Movie stars can light up weed or do cocaine, meanwhile star WR Josh Gordon and Justin Blackmon are outlawed from their league because of some weed.

Some bloke can walk up to a shop in England or Las Vegas and place a bet. With his/her money, spent as how they wish for it to be spent. Most will lose, and still be happy as the thrill of the gamble satisfied their need in some way. Those that win, may pump that money back into the economy.

Hopefully something changes.

Once the big guys figure out how to make the money online it will be legal.  

Until then you have to fly to their casinos so they can make money off you and your family.

Yeah. I'm going to renounce my citizenship because I can't gamble legally when I please. I hate this country!

Thank you Peter King (R) NY for fukking up everyboby's gambling options.  This Republican POS attatched his anti gambling bill to popular legislature in order to protect his casino buddies.  And you know what?  The bill past with flying colors behind unanimous Republican support .  Goodbye Pinacle, goodbye The Greek.  Goodbye to all decent American on-line gambling options.

You wanted to know who was responsible... NOW YOU KNOW.

Everyone on this site can't gamble cuz of these laws.  Everyone betting with fake money on here.

It seems like it would be easier to go to your local bar and ask the bookie there for his cell phone number than it would be to renounce your citizenship.

Gambling is a fixture of American culture. The revolutionaries were pissed off because the King of England placed tax on playing cards back in the day.

From poker being played in saloons across the wild West to the horse races along the east and Kentucky. Our sports leagues would be NOTHING without the interest of gambling. The Spaniards who occupied Florida use have lottery systems. We have regional and state lottery systems in place today. There are scratch off tickets. People are even degenerate enough to gamble on greyhound dogs!!

We grant native tribes the rights to operate casinos. Even our elders gamble in their retirement communities on games such as BINGO.

So, there really is no valid reason for it. Just opposition. Simply need to defeat the opposition.

It's all about the money. Big business, gov't, Vegas  doesn't want you making it.   They don't want the competition and can't figure out how to tax it. A few states will actually let the little guy compete with the casinos. Grey area slot machines are another source of  revenue for the small time operator. States that have casinos suddenly put into place new laws against poker or gray area 8-liners. Why?, states and casinos not only want every nickel but every last penny. Just laughable when I hear these politicians talk about how the unregulated gambling preys on the poor, the old and uneducated. What the hell does the lottery do. We have  to vote these guys out of office. Who are they to tell the  American people where they can spend the money. Its a great system they have. Tax you and then they tell you where to spend what you have left.
