What's Up Stu? Luckily here in Las Vegas things did not get too out of control. I am really thinking of getting one though because as for now you never know.
Hey Mugg-I have a friend that works for the Rapid Transit system up there, he supervises the Fare Enforcement officers and I hated to see Seattle take yet another punch to the gut. I was stationed at Ft Lewis from 1985-1988 and lived in the area until 1996. It was livable and I remember going downtown on a Friday night in Pioneer Square for the club night (one fee got you in all the clubs) and at 3:00 am had NO trouble..I won't be in Pioneer Square at 3:00 am in this day and age.

I stay with it.

The pathetic local news stations barely mention this. Durkan & the city council are determined to run Seattle into the ground. I live about 30 miles north of downtown......used to be farm country.........now it's barely the suburbs. Some of the antifa clowns showed up in one of the towns & were greeted by a local militia......they didn't stick around long, lol.

Hey Mugg: Again I am really SORRY to see your beautiful city destroyed. I am glad you are not living in the new "Autonomous Zone" up on Capital Hill. Wow, thirty miles north of downtown, you are past Lynnwood and Everett? That's WAY north. My ex wife used to live in Lynnwood after we divorced and from Tukwila that was a hell of a trip to make.

Tukwila. I love the Pacific Northwest! The cities are "meh" but the towns! There are none better than those in Oregon, Washington, Idaho.

Yeah Stu...when I lived in Washington State, Tukwila was one of the places I lived. The word on the street was that if you got stopped in Tukwila and had a warrant, you were going to jail. Being a small city police force they had to make their money!

Oh yeah, Bass Pro Shop has a $215 .380 going on sale tomorrow. It's a S&W. Not familar with the model and it is a .380 but i'm thinking it'd be a good starter for the mrs. Sale starts tomorrow. Gonna check it out in the morning.

We all start somewhere. It's sad that our world has come to this now but I pray she never has to use it. Look at the positive now, you can go to the range together. God bless!

Tukwila to Lynnwood is a tough little commute.............any commute that requires you to go through DT is tough, lol, although I'm sure back then you probably traded off between I5 & 405. The only time I get down that way is going to Seatac, but now there's an airport in Everett next to Boeing (Paine Field) .........best thing to happen for us north-enders since the cell phone.
Stu.......you buy your ammo online? I occasionally bought some on sale @ Cabella's but even they look to be in low supply right now. I loaded up a couple years (from bulkammo I think) & haven't needed any for a while. I'm still in good shape, but a quick check shows Blazer & PMC are out at many outlets.

I'm stocked for a lifetime except for in 5.7×28 for the Ruger 57 I got a few months ago. And it's no apocalypse sidearm anyway. Not sure where it fits in the scheme of things other than a fun range pistol. Lacks the stopping power for a what I like in a home security pistol. Too big for concealed carry. It's a nifty shooter though. Maybe it would be could in an apocalypse. It lacks stopping power but it has good penetration. The rumor when the FN came out was that it can go through vest but I think that's been debunked. If you're in a shoot out and toy have to put multiple shots on target though, it doesn't have a lot of kick.

On advice from others, I've kept it simple.......Kahr CW9 for carry, CZ P-09, & an AR15. All I need to buy is 9mm, & the AR can take either .223 or .556. I don't shoot as often as I should...........gotta stay in practice.

So many things to consider when purchasing any firearm, Jamming issues if you prefer semiauto and ammo that packs a punch are just a few things to consider..........Research Research Research and as the saying goes "You get what you pay for" there are somethings IN LIFE worth spending the extra buck on IMHO

You mean 5.56. You are referring to the 5.56X45mm NATO round which is the military variant of the .223 Remington round.
