Watching games vs. Not watching

Very gerneral question:  Many on the boards here have described their tendency to not watch the games they bet on. That people who do are "degenerates." Isn&#x27;t there advantage in watching the contests, so to make better-informed decisions?

Anyone who claims watching a wager is degen is simply a losing bettor themaelves and have zero clue with the times of ingame live wagering and the advanced + EV betting strategies available nowadays.

Anyone who "bets it and forgets it" until they read the scores in the following days newspaper is a broke dinosaur.

Watching games complete waste of time unless it&#x27;s a big play and is exciting. Live betting is the devil in disguise.

I watch as many games as possible because i&#x27;m and old school capper who believes in capping X&#x27;s and O&#x27;s more than trends, angles, and computer models. It serves me well, especially in football.

Deals in the character you have. Personally if I wager I tend not to watch The aggravation is impossible to not have nitro handy. I like baseball and football. I wager on ncaa and nba occasionally but I hate the sport in general and will not watch them .

If the aggravation is too much for a person to handle they should not be gambling in the first place.

I had a buddy of mine who would get "sponsors" and enter poker tournaments on the weekends. I always thought where's the fun in that? Just hand somebody some money and let him go gamble with it? Not for me.....

I feel the same way about watching the games. Would I sit through a meaningless June Diamondbacks/Pirates baseball game just to "watch it"? Hell NO!!!!

It's an adrenaline rush! Especially a close game, or it's the final leg of a parlay. Almost as good as sex! Almost.....

I would always watch games I had no action on if I thought I might gain even 1 nugget that would help me in the Future. The best thing was John Madden doing the color cause he was a fountain of insight.I use to live in Vegas and a number of punters use to listen to Bill Rafferty do a game even if they had no action. I met Bill Rafferty 1 time when he was doing a game @ Syracuse and I told him what a compliment that was.
