Oil prices closed up for the third straight week. Oil has gone from roughly 24 dollars to 45 dollars and change the first three and a half months of the year. Gas prices are on a steady increase again.
I thought Obama wanted to get away from dirty energy. Guess whats going to happen. All that oil is getting transported by rail or semis which causes pollution. It gets refined which causes pollution. It gets used by cars or trucks which causes pollution. It gets transported from rigs by ship which causes pollution. I thought we were concerned about the little ice caps melting. We were on the way to converting to green energy. You aren't going to get rid of oil companies by doubling the amount of money you give them in three and a half months.
Even more important how are people suppose to pay for this stuff. We are lucky if wages go up one percent a year it took me three years to get a 1% raise. But oil can soar 50% in three and a half months. News flash no ones wages go up 50% in three months. Of course debt is going to be at record levels. Wages don't keep up with inflation. People can't afford this stuff. Health care costs soar, oil prices soar, and food prices soar. While wages stay stagnant or increase 1% a year while oil prices increase 50% in three and a half months. We pay the highest prescription drug prices in the world. Hamburger here is almost $6.00 a pound. Prices at the store are absurd.
