Watching an episode of Snapped. The infamous Crystal was one of two strippers hired by the Duke lacrosse team in 2006 at a house party. She ended up accusing 3 of them of sexual assault which became national news, led to the cancellation of their season, and the firing of their coach, for the team at that time top rated in the country. Eventually, through DNA testing, it was determined the accusations were false. Local district attorney was fired. So what happened to Crystal after that? She murdered her boyfriend, stabbed him to death in 2011. Sentenced up to 18 years, possibly getting out in 2026. And the 3 accused lacrosse players? Each received a $20 million dollar settlement from Duke University.
