say they are slaving in practice to play the game? if you are a goddam slave to the game dont fucking play it. come on first adrian and now reggie? he just tweeted "right now we would be slaving in 100 degree heat,  practicing twice a day while putting our bodies at risk for nothing"

he said for nothing? last i heard you get paid millions of dollars for nothing? man i am sick of this shit. americans risking there lives in mines, us army risking there lives for our freedom, and many life threatening jobs out there i cannot name. getting paid for nothing.

this is it. i am through with the NFL and all there greed. mostly the players.  they are just greedy bastards who only care about getting paid? they only care about there health? my ass you lying mother fucker.  you dont care about your health you only care about money.  why should nfl pay for your health after you retire 10 years later.  you are no longer affiliated with nfl so they have no right to pay for your health.  my job doesnt offer me health insurance after i quit the company. 

i am sure there are plenty of more players who feel the same way. so i am officially through. remember we the players have the voice and we make there pay checks.  i know nfl dont give a shit about me.  i did not renew my season tickets with the texans this year. i dont give a shit. but i am sure there are some people out there just sick of this shit.

If Reggie Bush really said that maybe he should spend some REAL time not fake, phony "Oh we gon visit da troops in I rack on behalf of fox sports..show em some love u kno wt im tawkin bowt" he should spend some real time seeing what they have to do and who they have to deal with then lets see if getting paid big bucks to sweat a little in the heat is "the modern day slavery" as he or Mendenhall or Peterson said.

Was it Mendenhall that said the nfl owners treatment towards players was like "modern day slavery" i heard that quote from some nfl player i cant put a finger who it was exactly i think it was Mendenhall.

This is just another reason why the NFL is a joke and the fans are too brainwashed to realize it. I hope the league gets locked out for the entire season and NFL fans are forced to watch College Football and begin to realize how much better it is.

Also, I noticed it's only black RB's who are saying the same crap over and over. I guess it should come as no shock that RB's routinely yield some of the lowest scores on the Wonderlic.

Fans too dumb to realize it?  Hardly.  I think some of the players are a joke....doesn't mean I won't tune in and enjoy a football game once.  Those two things aren't even close to the same thing. 

So just because many football players are turds means you can't enjoy an Adrian Peterson highlight reel run on a Sunday afternoon while you drink beer with your friends?

I'll take Mario Williams even w/ his half-ass play on the field over Reggie Bush who got a silver-spoon stuck in his mouth playing at USC. These players have no connection w/ the fans and don't realize what snobs they are. Fuck them. NCAAF is my fav sport anyway.

Hey I didn't say "dumb" just brainwashed haha.

I have a few friends who are NFL diehards and every time I try to tell them that the college game is more entertaining they just start yelling and ranting and then try to justify it by saying this is the class of football and only the best can play at this level so therefore the NFL is superior to college in entertainment value.

Needless to say, I love my narrow minded friends too much to call them dumb haha

These guys are stupid.  The comparison of modern football to the slave market is rediculous.  However, if you think about it... groups of athletic (typically all) black men, parading around in next to nothing, be pushed and proaded happens during the combine and also in the slave market.  Then the auction to the highest bidder happens at the NFL draft and the slave auction.  Non-guaranteed contracts which can be terminated at any time can be said of the same of the life a slave.

However, even though I see their point to a degree at the end of the day these guys have the free will to not play, retire whenever they want, hold out for more money, demand trades, etc.  Something that I am pretty sure never a slave had the opportunity to do.  So their comparison ultimately fails.
