Where does Ken Griffey Jr’s swing rank all time?

not sure if swings are ranked but I always loved the quiet relaxed stance and swing. Cano does it as well..... My style through baseball days..thumbs_up

Not sure where his swing ranks but he's my all-time favorite player.

If it isn't Griffey, it is probably Ted Williams.  .486 lifetime OBP - must have done something right.

Jr had a pretty stroke that’s for sure. But from that era David Justice’s swing stands out as one of the smoothest. He was a gamer as well

Lefty batters have a smoother looking swing, my favorite was Strawberry. Liked that dude even when he was a Met, tough to say that as a Yankee fan.

No particular order but Straw, Will Clark, Tony Gwynn, and Donnie Baseball all make my list and are all Lefties.

what comes to mind for me who is most memorable is always (no particulat order) Ken Griffey Jr. , Ted Williams , Tony Gwynn , David Justice, Daryll Strawberry and Don Mattingly.

But my personal favorite (even though I'm a Yankee fan, he played for the Yanks for a little while but mostly known for the Mets and the Dodgers) is Daryl Strawberry.

I remember all the times especially batting practice when Strawberry used to hit homers. A lot of people say his homers looked like comets when they flew but it always reminded me of a golf ball (driver n tee shot) rocketing out of the park the way it moved so fast over the fences. Fun time n great memories.

As a kid growing up in L.A., playing Pee-Wee, Pony/Colt, High School, and a HUGE Dodger's fan I always tried to emulate Steve Garvey's swing. While everyone else had the wide stance and swung for the fences every pitch, it seemed the most fluid, least energy exerting, and best on-base percentage swing.....

For righties, Al Kaline's swing gets more mentions than any other. I remember being a big fan of his until he used the dh to stagger in at the end of his career, hitting .262 to kill off his career .300 average to finish at .297. Top Ten in MVP voting 8 times, and 10 Gold Gloves in Right Field....

Did Griffey Jr have a nice swing set as a kid in his backyard, or did he have to go to the local park to get on one?

As a kid I ALWAYS did the Daryl Strawberry swing, just loved that head of the bat out front.  I also remember Kirby Puckett and Eric Davis.

Hmm I guess as an adult I still try to do things like Strawberry hahaha.  Wish I had a line right about now :)
