Who's attacking the Asians?

Based on video, and in NYC, mostly blacks, though all races have perpetuated these crimes. Just watched a black woman attack a younger Asian woman (there's a surprise, younger) with a hammer! Are you kidding me? When is this going to stop, come on now. If these racist punks and cowards need to attack Asians, plenty of Asian gangs in NYC would welcome it. But no these racist cowards choose to attack the most vulnerable. You would think the black community would be more sympathetic towards other minorities, and I'm sure most are. But clearly many simply have hate in their heart. This must stop, NOW. You set back all positive activism that has been happening, and long overdue. Like Rodney said, "why can't we all get along?" Sorry Rodney, too many out there of ALL colors filled with rage and anger-

And while tomorrow is May 5, "Cinco de Mayo," alot going on here to celebrate in Tampa Bay, the month of May is Pacific Island/Asian Heritage month.

 You nailed it. It's not even so much racism. It boils down to having hate in your heart. Sadly, attacks like this have gone on long before covid because people view asians as easy targets. As marks. It hits home for me. Growing up my neighborhood was like 99.9 black with the .1 made up of Mexicans and Southeast Asians. Some of my best friends growing up were from Cambodia and Vietnam and they weren't looked at as being any different than us. It was almost like there were two forms of asian. There were the Chinese, who were very insular, stayed in Chinatown, always down for a hoop game. Then there were these other asians who were from the block. Nobody harrassed them or looked at them different. To think of them, or their families, feeling threatened by my race makes me nauseous. Makes me downright enraged.

People under pressure and feeling hopeless have tendencies to lash out in hate. Now somehow someone's going to wave a magic wand and state this is against the law and just magically disappear.

You can't arrest your way out of societies failure to bring forth an inclusive America,  watch enough news and realize America is made of groups of minorities each helping theirs inspite of those Americans..

 You're right, no magic wand, no hate crime laws, will change the behavior of the angry, for whatever reason hate fills them. It's just a fact of life, there will always be some level of hate filled crimes towards one another. It is said that it's all the differences that make this country great but for some it's those same differences that perpetuate rage and anger. And I'm not even talking about the mentally ill. The hope is we can help a few of them, but we'll never change them all.

Those are sum bad asses no doubt. Luv the nunchukas, have a couple pairs to this day, hickory wood, octagonal, and I still swing em, usually in the front yard, and the kids in the neighborhood are my biggest fans. Use to swing 2 at a time, not so much anymore, getting older and I still on occasion hit myself, and it still hurts. But the message has been sent and the kids do all my work.

Watched 2 more attacks, these were in SF, you've probably seen them. Guy attacks 2 elderly women with a knife, fortunately they'll be ok. Supposedly this guy has had mental illness issues, ok, but all the different people he could have attacked, he chose 2 elderly Asian women. The other guy, young black guy, jumps a father pushing his baby down the street in a stroller. Are you kidding me? That's pure racist punkass shit and when they get this guy he should be put in the jail cells with all the Asian gangsters. Having spent time in SF, there's a shitload of Asian gangsters who hate you twice as much as you hate them. Eye for an eye-
