We ALL must take a little blame for this.
I think many of us are quietly asking ourselves the question, "how could I have allowed something like this to happen."

Goose, I was just typing a question based on exactly what you are saying. Wtf was the deal with this woman not properly securing her Glock, Sig and .223 AR-15 with what looks to be packing a 20 round mag?

Search, I think it was you I had a conversation with after the Aurora shooting regarding the firearm proficiency of the people that commit these crimes. We talked about how it’s fortunate that almost all of them have little to no idea what they are doing.
IIRC, the guy in the Aurora shooting tried using an AR-15, but he also used a cheap Chinese 100 round magazine that caused the weapon to jam. If he had just spent a few extra bucks on a decent mag you could probably double that death toll.
The Virginia Tech shooter killed 30 people during the second shooting, but he fired at least 174 rounds. It EASILY could have been much worse if he knew what he was doing.
Unfortunately in this case the shooter obviously had a pretty good idea what he was doing. Based on the reports I saw there were 26 people killed and every one of them had multiple gunshot wounds to the head and/or vital organs. I don’t believe there was anyone else that was even seriously injured.

Not everyone deserves blame. Only the killer is definitely at fault. But blaming people isn't the solution. Better to find ways to prevent future tragedies.

I'm 42, so I'm old enough to know all about the paddle in school. There was also a 'law of the land' within the student body if anybody was out of line. It was going to get exacted. Now you have the equality movement.

We did Shooter. Same thoughts on this guy - obviously and unfortunately he had a high profiency with handguns.

That is what I am trying to say. We ALL need to change. We ALL need to accept responsiblity. We need to get off govt assistance, and fend for ourselves. We need to stop having multiple kids with multiple partners. We need to stop blaming everyone else for our issues. We need to make relationships work, not throw them away because we are unhappy. My wife and her three brothers grew up around several guns--rifles, pistols, shotguns (farm). They never got in trouble, and certainly never killed anyone with a gun. The guns weren't locked up, certainly by the time they were teens. Why? Good parenting. Responsible parenting with direction and discipline. Their parents weren't their "buddies", they were PARENTS. Get it? The mother of this kid, was divorced, and had contentious disputes with the school district, pulled her kid out of school in the middle of 10th grade and home schooled him. Gotta wonder, was this part of the problem?

I understand what you guys are saying, however, in this situation, i can't imagine the poor little boys and girls were doing much more than cowering in a single spot and crying. While that worthless darn prob just walked up to each one and fired at close range, whereas the other victims in the other shootings were moving/running.

Actually, based on the reports I’ve seen, almost all of these shootings involve the shooter firing almost indiscriminately into crowds of people and then later picking off the people that try to hide or are too scared to even move.
I don’t see why this one would be much different in that regard.
Either way it’s like, pardon the expression, shooting fish in a barrel.
