Why does the Sportsbook @ my local Casino ask for ID?

Do these Casino Sportsbooks track every penny you win? Every time you take a ticket to the window that’s worth $1000 or more they ask for your drivers license. I cashed a $900 voucher and no ID was necessary. A buddy of mine cashed a ticket for $11,000 and was also asked to fill out paperwork before getting his cash. I understand that was for tax purposes but what’s the point of having to provide your license for every cash out of $1000 or more? They’re not asking you to fill out any tax forms if you have a ticket worth $5000. I’m confused here. Just wondered if any of you guys could help me out.

In concluding this cascinos are eager to take winners money in a form of giving back how does this suite suit you.. we can make a conseriege service availible would you like a limosene and a private jet sir.... 

But if it all goes out the door and gone it is harder for cascinos to adjust to over head...

no paperwork until 10k or more, but if your are betting 1K or more they will track you so if you do transact 10k in bets in a day they can paperwork you. 

What is the problem with simply not withdrawing money for $ 900 and not being taxed?? I think you should try this, as there is no point in taking one big bill for $ 2,000, rather than just making 4 checks for $ 500. By the way, I did it when I used to play on such things. By the way if you think that you have to pay taxes , that's not entirely true, in a casino with winnings tax is ALREADY included , I learned this from a very knowledgeable person, I don't know if it works in all States, but in my for sure...
