just remember its the South Bronx !!!   Its not a nice area at all.. I have been going to Yankee games since I was 3 .. Lived in NY and moved to Knox ... hence the screen name .. stay near  Laguardia Airport .. right across from City Field .. You can goto a Met game while you are at it ... Stay in Queens somewhere ... you will be about 10 mins from the stadium ... you will love it ..

Stay in Manhattan, def dont stay in the Bronx.

Manhattan is the safest large city in the world. I would say to stay away from times square area as the hotels are more expensive along with everything else because its a tourist location.

You can easily take the subway directly to Yankee stadium. They have their own stop.

Just went to NY for the first time this weekend and went to the Yankees game on Saturday. I was staying in Times Square and it only took me about 25 mins on the subway to get there. So if you stay anywhere in Manhattan you'll be fine, but like they said try to avoid near Times Square cause it is expensive for everything compared to the rest of the city.

Musta been 1972 or so,,driving in Harlem on the way to the stadium...stopped at a red light and some little shit kid points at us and announces there's "Whiteys in that car" to whoever was around.. I'm like wtf? we're in a 67 impala with bleacher seat tix and no friggin money.Maybe that was a game the kids played back then.Count the Whiteys or something...

No wonder from me George S wanted to move the team to Manhattan.. But if not driving there,you're all set..

Living in Jersey, we always tkae the train to the stadium. Driving there is a huge hassle.

I like getting there an hour or two before the game to drink at one of the bars outside the stadium while enjoying a rat-kabob.

Good times going to Yankee games. Boston games at Fenway are a better time IMO.
