Race 1: 3rd (show), out (missed the break)
Race 3: 7th (very disappointed with the in race tactics)
Race 7: 5th (out), 8th (broke outward - towards Grandstand side)
Not as good as hoped, but that happens sometimes.
The Melbourne Cup is tonight and should be interesting.
Here are the results:
Winner: #11 Knights Choice $221.70, $83.80 and $42.40 (great name)
Place: #4 Warp Speed $25.20 and $14.10 (like the Star Trek series)
Show: #12 Okita Soushi $13.30 (strong dislike of raw fish)
Forth: #14 Zardozi (figures didn't add up for me)
The other horse I liked was the 1, mostly since William Buick was scheduled for the ride.

Races like this don't come around often for me, maybe five times a year.
