Hey vet...I love Yoshida as well. Billy Mott can get his horses ready for big days such as this. I came across this article giving an inside look at the connections of Yoshida. Enjoy!

Hi Midnight .Dont really have an update right now but was wondering if you caught Yoshidas run in the Gr. 1 Woodward back on September 1st.He ran great on turf, only finishing worse then 2nd once in eight races and then switched to dirt for the first time in the Woodward.Maybe it wasnt that strong a field, but he looked like he had a lot left in the tank. Looked exceptional crossing the finish lineHes a good long shot along with another I like, Thunder Snow.Should be a great Classic. Accelerate will be tough to beat.Right now for me its Yoshida,Thunder Snow and flying late, Mind your Biscuits.
vet...just took a cursory look & Accelerate from the 14 post will have to gun it to get lead away from West Coast. It's a perfect setup for someone charging down the lane in the stretch.

Little chance of rain both Fri/Sat. Turf may be less than firm due to early week rain. After a 6 month break, West Coast ran 2nd to Accelerate in the Awesome Again. IMO Baffert will have him ready to fire again in the Classic. In the Juvenile Fillies, Sippican Harbor is a dead closer with plenty of early speed in the race. The chalk has won 53% of the time in this race. In the Sprint, Limousine Liberal has won 6 of 8 races @ Churchill. In the Juvenile, don't forget Calvin Borel gets the rail on Dueling.
CORRECTION....Borel is not riding Dueling.

Heard an interesting comment made by Caton Bredar, wife of jock Florent Geroux, regarding the turf @ CD. Apparently they never rate the turf "soft". They use the "yielding" rating. She talked with jock Ryan Moore this morning & he said it was soft.
If the rain continues, keep an eye on track conditions tomorrow/Saturday.

Yeah soft ,yielding ,its going to be bad. 3" or 4 " rain? Yikes.
Also noticed Mike Smith choose Mckinzie over West Coast in the Classic.
Hey Midnight. Where the heck is everybody. I know Im not around that much except for the big races but Jesus Christ. Ten guys who would jump in for this every year. Why wait?
Guess its you and me. To bad we cant have a few beers while were at it.
Talking some about the Mile on Saturday.Mile is not kind to front runners. In the last 20 years theres been no winner who led after quarter or half mile.
Last 11 winners were gr 1 winners entering the race.
Average odds of the Mile winner...11.6 -1 or higher.and
All the longshot winners were deep closers.
Well try and beat Oscar Performance. Horse that fits the bill for me are Lightning Spear, and Catapult.
