Going fishing in the morning. We have schools of blackfin tuna 2 miles offshore on the reef. They are averaging 6 to 8lbs which will be great for our neighbors because the boss & I don't eat fish. Crazy, right?
Don't know when I'll be back tomorrow so I wanted to mention a couple of plays I'll be making before we leave.
Race 9 Oaklawn Handicap I like #1 Silver State ML is 4-1. He's 3 for 3 @ Oaklawn; 5 for 9 lifetime while banking over 600k. Owners Winchell (the donut man) & Willis Horton (home builder) have combined for a 5-4-1-0 record so far this year. I've read others that don't think he can get the 1 1/8 but in his only try at this distance he ran a solid 3rd to Monomy Girl losing by about 3 lenghts. Like him a lot tomorrow.
GP Race 11 # 10 Kaufy Bean...we get a huge jock upgrade to Edwin Gonzalez who moved his tack to GP from Penn National. I didn't know much about him until he started racing in South Florida. The dude has won over 1,000 races. Anyway this is for NW of2 & Kaufy Bean is 0-4 this year & thus is 10-1. He got DQ'd in his last when making a move & dropped to 7th. Previously to that he ran 2 decent 4th's. Jock change from Berrios to Gonzalez makes this a nice WPS play @ 10-1.

Got our limit of 6 tuna (2 per boater) in the first 30 minutes of drifting on the reef. Glad to be home earlier than I thought we would be.
Forgot to mention a very interesting gelding in the 10th @ Oaklawn. # 4 Welder is an 8 year old roan who has won 26 of 38 who rarely leaves Oklahoma to race. He's 37 of 38 ITM & has banked 1.2 million for a very small barn. ML is 2-1.
Just saw Chantal Sutherland win by daylight on a 7-1 shot for Peter Walder @ GP. She has 4 more mounts today & all are on the turf.

Chantal picks up a nice mount & the chalk on #2, She'll go to the lead & try to hold on but I see Paco on #8 going with her which sets it up for #10 to catch them both.
Tri key 10 with 289.

Although Tyler wasn't named to ride this one originally (even though he's been on him for the last 2), trainer Mike Maker scratched #1 who Tyler was originally to ride. Maker bumped Corrales off for Tyler.

Keenland Race 9 Ex/DD wheel 6 with all.

Tyler was wide for most of the mile & a half & had nothing in the stretch.
Oaklawn Race 9 #1 Silver State is my best play of the day. WP; ex/dd wheel. $20 DD Silver State with #4 Welder. He's the one who has won 26 of 38 & ITM 37 of 38. Welder had a short trip from Oklahoma to Rkansas as the Okies like to say.
GP Race 11 #10 Kaufy Bean WP; ex/dd wheel.
Got the grandkids coming over so I wanted to share these before mayhem gets here.

No vet...we were in 110 foot of water & they were attacking our live ballyhoo on the way down. A wild 20 minutes but I liked the wild finish with Silver State better.....
Sounds crazy but I was screaming more for that 6-10 exacta earlier in the card. It allowed me to get more aggressive with Silver Strike.
We've all had the adrenalin rush when you see something that catches your eye. You do a little capping & it's stafting to look petty good. A little more research & now you're confident to share the play with other cappers.
Then it wins! Life is good.....

I watched the replay of Kaufy Bean & he was 4 wide the entire race & didn't have anything left in the stretch. Maybe a try going 6F would help this guy cash a check.
