Excited for the races, especially the Juvy turf. To bad undefeated Native Trail 

couldnt be here but so many other great horses. Once again I see some nice prices coming out of these races on Friday.

I have a list of about 13 entered that I wrote notes to myself during the racing year. Of course Letruska is on the list and there are is a couple from Charlie Appleby who wins about 40% when he ships to the states. Here's the list.... 

JuJu's Map, Golden Pal, Bubble Rock, Tiz A Bomb, Averly Jane, Oasis Dreama, Goldspur, Corobus, In Love, California Angel, Space Blues & War Like Goddess.

I'll give each of these a sustained look.

Hopefully full fields will fill our pockets with some moolah! 

Like Applebys Modern Games in Juvy turf. Should go off no higher then 4th choice and should contend.

Modern Games going off as the 2nd choice at 5-1. Stablemate Albahr 6-1

Saw a few nice payouts last year on Juvy day. $62 winner in this one last year.

In Friday's Race 9 Juvenile, he's an odd factoid....

#12 Corniche & #9 Pinehurst are both 2 for 2 & have banked 222k each.

vet..Jockeys coming to Cali will have to deal with the new use of the whip rules. Typically they get 10% of the purse if they win with superior jocks getting more than the 10%.

With these purses, I could see someone violating the new rules in a close race & pay the 5 hundy or 1k fine. Human nature takes over when you think you may lose like when Tyson bit Holyfield. 

Hopefully Firenze Fire won't try to take a bite out of anyone Saturday. 

Some of the favorites got a pretty bad post .First turn comes quick at Delmar and for that reason

theres some very interesting long shots.

Cal Angel, sentimental crowd fav. Trainer does things the right way and would love to see him win but that post was the dagger imo.

JuJus Map no slouch. Can beat Echo Zulu at a better price.

Looking at some evaluations some of these favs raced against suspect fields that went on to finish poorly.

Live by the sword, die by the sword but outside of a few like Gamine and Life is good I will be strictly going with Value plays

where on paper there not far off. I know youll be handicapping some longshots as well.  Look forward to your official picks Midnight

As I was capping Saturday's card, I got to thinking that Medina Spirit didn't do anything wrong. It was his handlers that put that dark cloud over his head.

It would be just like Baffert to have this guy ready to fire & win the Classic while giving the entire racing world a big middle finger.
