Yes, I know I stink at this game but the learning curve seems kinda steep and costly as well. But I refuse to give up trying to show a profit at this, so today I'll try to some reasoning?
R1- #5 @ 6/5 looks best but offers no value so either pass or try the #6 @ 6/1 off the layoff?
R2- #5 @ 4/1 is getting my money
R3- #3 @ 9/5 another chalk that looks to good to play against or try the #6 @ 4/1?
R4- #4 @ 7/2 looks like a play over the wide chalk
R5- #3 @ 4/1 over the layoff chalk
R6- #9 @ 7/2 just for value over chalk
R7- #10 @ 3/1 because I don't see a better choice
R8- #1 @ 7/2 looks in best form
R9- #7 @ 15/1 or maybe #9 @20/1 no studs in here
Good Luck

A little bit of advice, try to find 3 or 4 races and bet those only. Stick to WP of Ex wagers until you start getting the hang of it. Have a set amount bet for each race and don't stray from that. Good luck and don't give up.

Thanks Rob, I am and have been just trying to pick winners and bet place if the odds warrant it.
Set amount is only 2w and maybe 4p sometimes. I just need to show a profit for more than one day to gain some confidence!

Another thing Jr, find what race you have success at. Claiming, Allowance, Turf, Dirt, Routes, Sprints. Keep a log and track which race is profitable for you and concentrate on those races.

G....didn't you say you were cleaning up in the tourneys..........maybe that's the format that works best for you.........good luck regardless
I was for a couple weeks but nothing for 2 weeks now and I play everyday. Still have a profit on that but playing tourneys is a bit different it seems? You need a few better priced horses to win tourneys so I ignore the chalk and sometimes it kills ya. I've lost a few from .10 to 5 bucks along the way!
MstrH question, why do you always call me G or 315? I don't understand.

The problem I find with the tourneys.............stabbers.
Kinda turned me off.... but maybe the "lockdown" format is what I'll have to consider
I play on HorseTourneys and only in the PickNPray contests where all picks must be in b4 the first race goes off. So maybe lockdown is the same as picknpray?
