Race 1..we have 5 1st timers in #'s 2,4,5.8 & 9. 

#4 Wit is a pricey (575k) colt for owner Mike Repole & Pletcher. Irad was named to ride. The Dam, Numero d'Oro has 3 winners in 3 tries. This guy is the one will be heavily bet. #9 Too Much Action @ 15-1 gets my attention with some real nice works @ Delaware. Why did trainer O'Dwyer pick this spot instead of finding something softer @ Delaware Park or even Pimlico? #3 Hagler was bet to win in his 1st try but finished a distant 2nd. If both go, I think the Michele Nevin entry can cash a check here.

The Play: WP # 9; DD 49 with 984 & 10

Race 2 is another MSW but it's on the turf. #9 My Cousin Rich moves from dirt to turf & attracts Jose Lezcano who is one of my favorite turf riders. This one just missed in his 1st try @6-1. I like the 15-1 ML here. #8 Ranger Fox had some traffic issues in his last but still just missed with Rosario who stays up here. #6 Pipeline ran 5th of 7 but Javier stays for the move to turf for Chad Brown. #4 Migrate is a firster for Bill Mott out of Candy Ride. #7 King James gets a jock change to Jose Ortiz for cold trainer Jim Jerkens (1 for 12). #10 Mach One has tried the turf 3 times with a 2nd & a 3rd. He has shown speed & shortens here from the mile try in his last. This will be his 2nd race off the claim for Danny Gargan who has named his top jock Carmouche to ride. This guy was claimed from Wesley Ward for 50k & is now being protected by the new connections here.

The Play: WP #9; ex/tri box 4-8-9-10

Race 3..#3 Jackie's Warrior has tons of heart & he just wouldn't let #4 Dream Shake go past him in the Pat Day Mike @ Churchill. #2 Drain the Clock has won 5 of 7 & will be the rabbit that may not stop. #7 Tulane Tryst looks like the only closer in the race.

Should be an interesting race but it's Jackie Warrior's to lose.

Race 4..is 1 1/2 Mile on the dirt. #9 Lone Rock beat a few of these at this distance @ Churchill. I've recently gained plenty pf respect for trainer Diodoro & jock Ramon Vazquez seems to fit this guy like a glove. He's won 5 of his last 6 losing only by a neck.

The Play: Ex/ wheel 9 with all. Tri key 9 with 4678

Too Much Action down to 5-1! 60 MTP.

 Yeah the early action was justified on Too Much Action. But #4 Wit missed the break and still won going away.

Alive in the Double with 4-8-9-10.

Race 5 is a no play for me but I think it will be a Javier/Johnny V exacta. #4 Dayoutoftheoffice is one of my favorite fillies but #6 Search Results looks too tough here. 

Race 6 looks like a real nice race. We have a 2 million dollar winner in #11 Got Stormy. We have a trainer winning @45% in Wesley Ward in #6 Bound For Nowhere. We have #4 Fast Boat who used his closing style to win 2 in a row with a little more distance to run at & Johnny V picks up the mount from Irad. We have one who is undefeated @ this 6F distance winning 3 in a row in #8 Gregorian Chant. Finally we have #12 Sombeyay who ran very good 2nd's to both #4 & 8. Hate to do this but I'm going to throw out Got Stormy on the premise she would like to go longer.

Took a beating on Race 6 - half the jocks didn't look to try in the stretch???  Just a joke

6-8-12 looked good until Billy Mott's horses kicked into gear.

Race 7 we have a big scratch in #1 Swiss Skydiver.

It's for Brad Cox to get involved in these stake races.

The Play: DD wheel 5 with all.

Lethruska was solid & never challenged.

Race 7 is the toughest so far IMO. I looked and found 6 that can win this race. Wondering why Chad Brown scratched #11 & moved jockey Prat on to #6 who is now the 2-1 favorite

#3 has been bet down from 30-1 to 12-1.

#5 always like the Johnny V/Pletcher/Mike Repole combination.

Hey I'll mention this...in the finale. Mikey Smith is on # 7 Desert Peace for the same trainer that gave us that exacta....Charles Appleby who wins @42% when he ships here. I', singling Essential Quality/ALL/#7 Desert Peace. ML is 15-1 on #7 but no way we'll get that. I'll be happy with 5-1.
