There are certain trainers that win at a high % with certain jockeys &amp; for certain owners. Why does someone claim a horse for 10k &amp; win at 25k? With your logic, it&#x27;s all about the horse.

Sorry Midnight, I should have explained better! YES, all 3 of those guys are top of the sport. But trainers?, I think not. They are the heads of a lucrative business and have hundreds of the best horses in training at their disposal. However they cannot be in NY, FL, KY and CA on the same day! I would venture a guess these 3 guys train NO horses and just get the cream of the crop steeds from owners who enjoy the limelight.

So YES, they win a good percentage of races because they have the most quality but also start a lot more horses as you mentioned

GB their eye for picking good assistant trainers who do all the real work so the big 3 can get their accolades for being a top trainer.

I'll still play the horse!
