Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint

 I have a question, If the rains come Saturday as predicted will they pull them off the turf and do main track only? Supposed to start raining shortly after 1pm. TIA

 I don't think so, the turf would need to be unsafe due to weather conditions, and it's not supposed to be a drenching downpour. if it does rain alot, it will only effect the condition of the course. In other word's the track may be listed a yeilding or soft. European horses prefer the softer turf anyways. I cannot remember a Breeders cup turf race ever being pulled off the turf and moved to the main track under sloppy conditions. The majority of the field would likely scratch from the race if it was moved to the turf.

Going to be "breezy" Saturday with gusts of wind around 40 mph which should help dry out the track if there are any downpours.

There seems to be no speed in the race, sets up perfect for Golden Pal who is undefeated on American soil. Doesn't mean he wins this race, I don't think he's the same horse that he was last year, but still... if he gets no pressure and gets an easy lead he could be long gone! I know he's going to be even money most likely but watch out is all i'm gonna say

 You may be right on that, seems like this race is a little more wide open that it may seem to be. Should be a good race!
