No-- there is no exposure for a casino booking horse racing bets-- horse racing is a para-mutual game so the track pays out a certain percentage of each wager-- ie.. if 100,000 bet into a race then roughly 85,000 paid out to all winning tickets-- the casino probably gets a little less than 1% to book the bet but not sure -- so again- there is 0 risk for a casino and they just want as many tickets bought as possible

Yes- most online sportsbooks dont use the paramutual pool from the track. Thus they book the bets themseleves, so they are at risk just like taking bets on sports. I assume if they have a heavy horse player who is winning all the time they may ban the player especially a player betting large amounts at smaller tracks so the player wont be hurting their paramutual odds. ie.. if a player is betting 5,000 on a horse to place at indiana downs and the total place pool at the track is only 15,000 then that bettor would be getting much better odds on the bet payout as his 5,000 wouldnt be in the pool. I am sure online books track this and will boot said player if the winnings mount up and the player doesnt bet other things at the online casino like sports, poker, or casino games.

yes-- a legal US online wagering account is the best option online-- but if you reside in a state like Georgia like I do then you can only do online with a non US company-- I have been with Bodog/Bovada now in the US for the past 15 years and they have solid horse options and rebates. They dont have the pick 5 or pick 6 options however which sucks so i have to drive to Alabama to put those wagers in.
