Mostly boxes but check the payouts in the exacta before betting them. Sometimes the risk is more than the reward.

I consider myself a win bettor so most of my $$$ goes on the win end. I have a rule where I only bet 5% or less of my bankroll per race so it takes 20 races before I go bust.

Disclaimer here though, I'm certainly not an expert by any stretch and have only been doing this for a short time.

Hello Vinnie, if the horse is 10-1 @ post time you will receive $22 +/- some change.

So at 10-1 for 10 bucks you get so $ 22 x 5 you'll get back $110 +/- the change.

I'm probably not the best one to ask for advice. I've only been doing this for less than a year.

However, I will give my opinion but whether it's good advice remains to be seen.

I think I'm a speed handicapper as I assign a base number for every horse in the race and then use my homemade adjustments to arrive at a final rating.
