What tracks do that? Last year, the same thing happened to me on Haskell day at Monmouth. They decided to go 'off the turf' after the Pick 4 had started. The turf race scratched down to four horses, and there was one overwhelming favorite (1/5 if I recall). If you had any horse that scratched, you got that fave on your tickets. Because of this, there were a ton of tickets that had the favorite more than once. Favorite loses, and the pick 4 pays awesome, because of all the dead tickets on that race. It sucks when it happens, but so it goes.....

The NY tracks pay "all" if there is a surface switch after a multi race wager has started. I thought thats what all tracks do but apparently not.
