I've got 2 today at Saratoga.

Race 4 #2 Carl Spackler...he'll be the chalk.

Race 10 #9 Deputy Connect

Capping Kentucky Downs & the SPA for tomorrow right now so that I can cap college football tonight.

3 scratches in Race 4 has put Carl Spackler @ 1/5 & I'll save my money on this guy.

It's a no play for me here.

He won easily & gets 105k of the 175k purse. 

Going to going to take a shot here in race 5.

Rarely do you see a first timer Repole colt attracting Javier @ 18-1 odds.

 Didn't even think of playing it red..

Javier got banged around pretty badly out of the gate but he closed well for 3rd @ 28-1.

He was never going to catch the top 2 but it wasn't a bad race for his 1st try. We won't get 28-1 next time he runs.

Too many small fields at Saratoga tomorrow, so I'll be concentrating on Kentucky Downs. BUT....I do have a hunch play in the 12th.

#9 Jayla has ran 4th 4 times in a row but just returned from a 5 month stay on the bench 2 weeks ago for trainer Jena Antonucci. Javier stays on this one & he has a penchant for winning the last race on a card. Looking at something like a 4-9-7 box there. #7 is a Honk For Donk play.

Jena/Javier have that fantastic Belmont/Travers connection. ML is 12-1, so check the tote board.

#9 Deputy Connect has a jock change to Santana.

Was capping KD & noticed Edgar Zayas is there for trainer Saffie Joseph. Joseph got screwed when he got banned @ Churchill after 2 of his horses died. He did nothing wrong but his owners had to find other trainers because they didn't want to be associated with the guy,. He won the trainer championship at Gulfstream here recently.

Anyway, Zayas' style is "you gotta catch me" & he steals a lot of races on the lead. I like the Zayas/Joseph connection.

In the 10th here I've got #9 Deputy Connect.

I also looked at #4 Inspector who is currently 17-1. He was the beaten chalk in this last when he was claimed by Ten Strike Racing who I've been following. He's worth a sprinkle...
