Finished capping earlier & here are some plays & my thinking behind them.
Race 1 I like the 5 & 4. Prado has his only mount of the day on #5 Enthral. #4 Dutch Parrot had all kinds of trouble in her last being steadied & missing my less than 2. Asmussen has his go to jock Santana up.
Race 2 I have 2-6-7. #2 Admire is a firster from the good connections of tha Albaugh Family/Dale Romans/Rosario. I femember Romans once saying "I never know what a first timer is going to do." Watch the board on this one; ML is 6-1. #6 Captain Von Trapp just missed in his first try & maybe Asmiussen blames Bridgemohan for getting beat with the chalk; he's off & Santana is on. #7 Midnight Curfew is a also a firster & a sleeper @ 12-1. Like the Minight Lute breeding, Trainer Engelhart is solid & Jose Ortiz takes the mount.
Play is DD 54 with 267
Race 3 #1 Casses Story was claimed from Mark Casse after he won his last race. Wouldn't be surprised to see Casse reclaim this family namesake. #2 loves the distance but rarely gets heavily played. #3 also likes the distance & this will be his 2nd race off the claim by trainer Brett Calhoun. #4 has won 2 in a row & moves up in company. #5 ran 4th to #1 in his last. #6 Trainer Mott takes Franco off & puts up Joe Ortiz; he's been 13-1 in his last 3 races but I don't think that will be the case here. #7 is the Albaugh connection again & he was beaten by #1 in his last as well. #8 has 4 stinkers in a row but it's Pletch/Johnny V; drops in class. #9 is 0 for 8 @ Churchill; #10 has been claimed 3x in a row. He's regularly bet & is owned by trainer Kenneally.

Race 4 #1 is from the red hot Amoss barn. Bridgemohan is off another one & Lanarie for this added distance. #2 comes from Cali for Baffert; he won his only try by a head, was heavily bet & also stretches out. #3 drops in class & his last was dull. But before that, he won by 15 @ Gulfstream. #4 throw out his last when he got a lousy break; he's 1 for 1 at this mile distance for Mott. #5 2 lousy races out of 3. #6 closed for 3rd @ 40-1 in his last. # 7 this guy is pretty erratic; check out the comments in the PP's. Trainer Catalano gets rid of his son in law Channing Hill for Johnny V. Who wouldn't? #8 ships in from Gulfstream for sneaky good trainer David Fawkes; he has a recent bullet workout & has won 2 of 3. #9 has won 2 in a row & is getting better for trainer Brad Cox.

Race 5 #1 is the French Connection of Leparoux/Casse/Oxley; he's won 2 of 3 including a win @ CD. #2 loves the distance having won 3 of 5 @5.5F. #3 loves the turf/distance; 9-3-3-0 on both. #4 is 1 of 4 in this race for trainer Wesley Ward; tired in his last. # 5 won by 7 in his only try for Pletch/Javier. # 6 is another for Ward & probably his best chance for the Ramseys. Ran 2nd to #7. #7 is another Ward; Johnny V replaces Rosario; been away 4 months. #8 is 3 for 3 @ the distance. #9 is the last ne for Ward; this one has run 2nd 3x in a row. # 10 has just missed in his last 4 by a total of about 4 lenghts. #11 loves the turf & gets Flavien Prat up for the 1st time. #12 has been beaten by the #7 & 8..

Race 7 #1 has regressed; #2 has won her last 2 by 19 & 13 lenghts for trainer Amoss. #3 ran 2nd to #10; ships from Cali & Johnny V picks up the mount. #4 ran 2nd to #8; #5 haven't bet a Barclay Tagg horse in 3 years. #6 3 of 4 races have been lousy. # 7 will have to catch Rosario on this one for Servis; has won 3 in a row. #8 Rosario gets off this one which I find interesting. Irad picks up the mount & this filly has won her last 2. #9 ran 2nd losing by 19 lenghts to #1. #10 may fall victim to a speed duel with #7.

Race 8 #1 has won 2 of 4 but tired in his last. #2 stretches out after winning both of his races for Jason Servis. #3 ships in for Baffert & was the beaten favorite in his last. #4 won the Pilgrim @ Belmont in his last which gave him 2 wins in a row. #5 seems over matched having won only 44k. #6 just missed 3 in a row in his last. #7 should sit off the pace & make his move. #8 has won 1 of 3 for Pletch/Javier & was a beaten favorite in his last. #9 has raced in shorter fields & stretches out here. #10 I love this Gary Barber/Mark Casse/Rosario combination; however he gave up the lead in his last 2 & is still a maiden. #11 it took this one 5 races to break his maiden but Gary Stevens stays on board. He's won his last 2. #12 has won his last 2 for Pletch/Johnny V with his closing style. #13 has won 3 of 9 & stretches out here. #14 gave up the lead in his last.

Nice to see Santana keep #4 Dutch Parrot out of trouble with a last to first ride. Nice to alive in the double with 267. Would love to see Jose Ortiz go gate to the wire on #7 Midnight Curfew. We'll see..
