Many of the top horses do have speed. Most of them do not have tactical speed.
After you've confirmed your selections based on how the trak may be playing it's good to note the words in the comment line.
The 1st 2 finishers in the last Derby's had comments which were similar it was saying "geared down".
Most of the other horses entered 4th and 5th hard words that said,clear drew away and drew clear.
So therefore even if your horse is very impressive with its speed look for the common line words which can be words like impressive, authoritative ,took over drew away.
Horse may be a few seconds slower but if the comment line has that powerful run in to the wire choose that horse.
