Saw this big roan in R5 @ GP today. Problems out of the gate, raced wide, was steadied and finished 4th going widest of all missing by less than 2 lenghts.
He hadn't raced in 7 months for trainer Jane Cibelli.
Went 5F today & looks like he would love added distance.

Bet down to 7/2, didn't break too well, sat 7th in the 3 path, into the stretch Paco had to go outside a wall of horses in front of him, he tapped Who's Inside twice & he took off to win by a nose over #6 a 37-1 shot! Finished the 5f in 56:2....
$9.80/$5.60/$4.00
Exacta 8-6 $202.80

Nice pick that horse has good late kick. Was a little worried with speed bias on Turf today at Gulf I had $1 pick 4 paid $429.80 and $15 D/D paid $20 for $1 but missed all exactas and Tri bets. Had 8 with 2,4,9 with all.

I was worried about the #9 especially when Zayas is on a horse with speed but he could never get passed the #6. BTW #9 Dugout got claimed by Kelly Breen for 16k.
I'm sure trainer Cibelli will work on Who's Inside getting out of the gate better than he has in his last 2 races. If she moves him up in company, which I think she will do, I still believe he'll like to go further than 5F.
There's always some luck in racing & Paco was lucky that when he made his move no one other than him was making up any ground outside of him down the stretch.
I didn't see a photo of the finish but was really concerned they were going to call it a DH. I thought Paco caught him at the wire but you never know until it's posted. I was also a little surprised at the early money that made him the 2-1 favorite & glad he went off at honest odds. Thought the morning line should have been closer to 5 or 6 to 1 & was surprise to see it at 8-1.
Congrats on hitting the Pick 4...

That's excellent advice Devil. I couldn't keep track without a tool like this.

I don't have any inside information which is usually associated with a "tip." I make mental notes that when I see something I say something for others to make their own decisions. I just wanted to make that clear to anyone reading. I have favorite jockeys/trainers/owners like everyone else & those combinations usually merit an extra look for my eyes.
For example in another thread I was wondering why Brad Cox took Geroux off most of his horses this week & named Talamo instead. Last night while capping I realized that Geroux is out in Cali this weekend along with Johnny V & Rosario. I also noticed that Javier Castellano is up at Aqueduct for their stakes. Johnny V has a bunch of mounts Saturday for Baffert & has one Friday. Friday's mount is in Race 3 # 7 Fenway. In his first try he tired badly as the chalk finishing 4th in a 4 horse field. In his only other race he finished a tiring 2nd. Maybe the jock upgrade to Johnny V is the answer for this colt maybe not. I'm not real fond of young horses giving up the lead when challenged. Pretty sure Johnny V will try to rate this guy's speed so he has something for the end of the race. Since Javier & Johnny V are away from Gulfstream Saturday, I'll be looking to see who may pickup any of their live mounts.
One other thing I'll mention. I was listening to Dale Romans being interviewed today on TVG & he was asked what was the toughest track for him as a trainer. He answered ...Tampa Bay Downs. This hit a nerve for me because I just can't hit a ticket there. Romans went on to say it's a safe track with nice accommodations for his stock but he's just not confident racing there. So IMO if he has horse racing there, I would doubt it's chances.
Having said that, he has a horse entered Saturday in the 400k Tampa Bay Derby; he has #12 Sittin On Go in the 11th race. ML is 201. I like Dale Romans because he seems to be a straight shooter & a regular guy just like us. Another in this mold is Kelly Breen who I met @ GP during a breakfast on the backstretch. I don't know if GP still does these meet & greet every month or not. He's known for the hats he wears around the track & I asked him if he had a lucky hat & he told me "whatever hat I'm wearing is my luck hat." Even though that was a cool answer I hoped maybe I'd get an answer like "my light blue hat or my pink striped hat" etc. He'll be headed up to Monmouth once they start racing again.
That's all I have.

I agree vet. Sittin On Go was way back in the Holy Bull @ GP in his last & after hearing what Dale Romans said about his luck @ Tampa Bay Downs, this is a pass for me.
