Saratoga Race 4 #10 Next on Stage 

There has been 5 scratches in this original 11 lady field which will hurt our odds which were 8-1. We won't get this today

My girl got bet down to 5/2 & went to the lead right out of the gate. Was passed down the stretch but battled back to get 2nd. 

She showed tons of heart.

There's too many scratches on the card today but the weekend cards give us a better chance to make some decent moolah.

It's difficult to keep track of all the scratches other than entering them in your stable which is tedious. Other than weather related scratches or those by the vet, it's hard to know why a horse is scratched. Did they find a softer spot? Health issue?

Considering the cost to own a thoroughbred, the horses need to run to make a buck especially in such a short meet like Saratoga just to recoup the shipping costs from/to.
