Race 3 #5 Director's Cut ML 4-1

Shippers from Tampa seem to like the Gulfstream grass & this 2 year old filly will be stretching out from 5F to a mile. She ran a decent 2nd in her only try losing by about 4 but was also almost 4 ahead of the 3rd place finisher. She got banged around coming out of the gate which can happen with these young-ins.  

Like the jock upgrade to crafty Edgar Prado who has the experience to keep her out of trouble & have her close off the pace.

We have a couple of first timers from the Casse & Saffie Joseph barns & I'd check the tote board to see what the owners think of their chances.

Great ride by Prado. He kept her 3rd most of the race right off the pace & on the rail. At the top of the stretch, he moved her off the rail but had the chalk #2 Casse's filly coming wide outside of her.

There was a little bump down the stretch but this filly loved the extra distance & won by about a neck.

Paid $12.20/$4.20/$2.80 (the chalk running 2nd hurt our place/show price)

Exacta 5-2 paid $ 46.20

Double 4-5 paid $72.80

And we are alive in the 5-? double. Hoping for a bomb in the 4th.
