Magnum Moon was very impressive today...I was suprised and happy to see the prices I was getting for Solomini as we got close to Post Time,  especially knowing that we had  Flavien Prat in the irons...I wanted to read Baffert's reaction to the outcome, but have not found anything online as of yet...at one point Prat had Solomini 5-wide but perhaps today it was not going to make a difference, inside or outside-

Prat is one of my favorite jockeys ... Thought Solomini was going to win ... Thankfully i was not at OTB or i would have lost $50+ on this race alone 

Thanks, DoubleUp...that makes me feel better...given the love for Magunum Moon on the Tote Board yesterday-- and the manner in which the race played out--  I found myself questioning all night what I had missed in my handicapping of the race...Solomini jumped off of the page for me  and I was on him big...

Will sheer talent enable either Justify or Magnum Moon to become the first horse to win the Kentucky Derby without having raced at 2 since Apollo in 1882?

You have to think the derby pace will be grueling with the super talented pace players with confident coneections -  Justify appears he can go 45/46 first halfs and still draw off against top horses but churchill isnt as kind to speed as SA and the extra distance might matter this year as there are very accomplished stalker/mid pack grade 1 winners in this loaded field-   what an amazing field -- finally a 3 year old crop that could own grade 1's the next 2-3 years --  US not lacking top classic studs right now so might as well race these many years-- though scat daddys best performer between Justify and Mendelson go to stud after this year-- that void looks to be filled by one of them or even both at home and abroad
