I have made my thoughts known on the Brilliance of California Chrome and I have totally thrown out that "beyer number". 

However, the real wise guy horse will be Ride On Curlin with Rosario taking over for Borel. Man, did the trainer bash Borel !

The field will be overloaded with speed, but Chrome should sit the perfect trip.

Wow, very harsh words for a 3 time Kentucky Derby winning jockey.   I know people like this horse but I think the trainer is way out line here.  The horse is just not on the same level as these other horses.  He replaced HOF jockey Desormeaux, veteran jock Court and now HOF Borel.  Its the horse not the jocks.

Borel's ride was terrible. The trainers comments are right on IMO

danza had a terrible ride getting HOUSE twice and gamely made it into the TRI

with a smaller field and a better trip he EATS CHROME UP....

that horse is all heart...  he got blasted at the start and the top of the backstrech....

clearly the horse to beat, chrome is SLOW

Yes, he took a direct left turn right out of the gate. I think he himself bought into the "BoRail" hype as well. He then went 7 wide into the stretch. He would probably have finished in the top 5, but he was never going to win. Rosario could will him to a second place finish in the Preakness with all the speed, but he won't beat the Chrome.

Wow ! Very Impressive Peter Pan today by Tonalist. Glad he didn't run in the Preakness, but he will face Chrome in the Belmont and will be the "Wise Guy" horse for sure to ruin CC's Triple Crown Dream.

Those owners always blame the rider . They took Jon court off in favor of borel . Now a switch again . I'm going to say Baffert wins with bayeern . Roused people sure give you a lot of garbage .

I think Chrome and Social Inclusion will go head to head in the stretch.  Social Inclusion may upset.

SI's two wins were on a speed favoring track at GP. He ran a decent 3rd in the Wood and will feel pace pressure from Ring and Bayern. Bet against.

i like ROC to come pick up the pieces late....borel tried to hug the rail into the stretch and had to end up swinging that horse out to lane 10 or 11 even. horse was closing with interest and if not for that check and borel not bringing that horse into the stands, he shouldve  finished a lot better than what the final chart says.

jerry bailey kept emphasizing on how CC doesnt like dirt getting kicked up in his face so im gonna assume that espinoza is gonna be really close to the pace as usual. have a feeling ROC will end up around 8-1.

Bottom-line, California Chrome is the most accomplished, the most consistently fast and the most versatile. I can see him sitting third or fourth coming out of the first turn, holding that good position on the backstretch, inching closer on the turn and running away from the field in the stretch. It has been the same scenario in five consecutive races at three tracks. I am thinking it is about to be six straight races at four tracks and a chance for history at Belmont Park.
