another weekend , derby points available, the 4th at dubai a bit earlier this morning ...we had a godolphin runner thunder snow punch his ticket winning the uae derby, the 2nd place finisher epicharis a japan bred, the grandson of sunday silence was already in by winning his japan race, but took the japan form to meydan,, i think i may use this tactical guy if he comes to churchill..
the spiral for 500k is the 10th at turfway park who go at 110 est today.. its a 1/1/8 on the all weather .. a full field , a real grab bag.. mikey said it best, doesnt appear to be any derby type here, but maybe we can see a few resurface in the queens plate or on arlington million day.. but the points are there for the taking regardless.. i have already boxed 1 blueridge traveler who has faced some ok colts in la, and ark but it was dirt, still using him..in a four horse box with 5,8,12...
the sunland derby goes sunday..
